an item that turns a tank into a wind wall?

i wonder if riot has ever thought about a tank item that would really support the idea of a tank body blocking ranged auto attacks and poke abilites for his teammates.

what im talking about is a tank item with an active, that turns the tanks hitbox into a braum shield or windwall for a couple of seconds and prevents projectiles from being able to move past him. hed still be affected by those abilities, but adc auto attacks and projectiles like Ahri q would deal damage to the tank and then just straight up stop and vanish.

If every tank gains the ability to block projectiles, it kinda takes away from what makes Braum unique.

Also, it's a testament to how much people hate Yasuo that projectile blocking is always referred to as "wind wall", as if Braum doesn't exist.

in this case i just referred to it as windwall, because yasuos ability was there first. but i can see the argument for braum having a very distinct nieche with his shield.

its still interesting to think about imo. how different tanks could use an ability like that. like how would it interact with Rammus for example when intercepting adc auto attacks.

I think it's that people have more complaints with Wind Wall than they do Unbreakable.

  • Wind Wall doesn't have to face the right way to work, while Unbreakable does.
  • Wind Wall completely destroys everything that touches it, while Unbreakable redirects the CC to Braum and Braum takes some portion of the damage.

It's odd that you ask that same question, Mr. Pot.

I think they thought of doing something like that with Malphite. Don't think it was very interactive.

just thought it would be an interesting idea. it would almost support the ideal playstyle of a tank more than stoneplate.

though i could see why this could take away from braums nieche.
