Lee Sin balanced or unbalanced?
Apparently, I'm confused with the majority thought on Lee Sin's current state.

hes balanced because he can be countered unlike other champs
. also retards in bronze-diamond prove he requires mechanics.
his ultimate has zero counterplay and his RQ combo has zero counterplay and his WR combo has very little and definitely no MEANINGFUL counterplay
i feel like his kick should not suppress its target upon pressing the button and the animation should be long enough for his Q to not be undodgeable. like, AT LEAST make it dodgeable with dashes or flash, but NO COUNTERPLAY is just TOO FUCKING MUCH for such a strong burst combo.
I think the real question is: Fun or Unfun? He's not an overly strong champion on average, but when he gets ahead and plays well, he feels really obnoxious and yes, truthfully doesn't have that much counterplay
But he isn't overpowered by any large margin at the moment; in fact, his win-rate has been like 47-49% for the last couple months
Lee Sin might be a little on the strong side. Sure, he has quite a good gapcloser with % missing health damage that can also be used to creep surf due to a low cooldown, and be used as poke, which also gives true sight, a shield for him and potentially a buddy that allows him to ward jump and creep surf even more, built in lifesteal and spellvamp, an aoe aroud him that gives true sight of all hit and a rather large slow for all hit, a long-range, single target knockback that does more % health missing damage and can translate into a 5-man-knockup, and to top that all of attack speed and energy sustain after every ability use. But matter of the fact is; yes Lee Sin is a strong champion with a rather overloaded kit, but the sheer amount of mechanical skill and game knowledge to use him really is off the charts. His kit does provide lots of options, but he has a ton of ways to mess up, hence his below-average winrate. So I think it's fair to leave a champion strong if he takes a lot of skill. But you know Riot, instead of doing the logical thing and making two balance sets; one for SoloQ and one for Competetive play, they decide to balance it around the LC$. So I do expect nerfs to him rather soon.
Balanced. True he has more outplay potential than most other champs, but he is also more susceptible to counter picks and counterbuilding than most champs. He is one of the hardest champions to play and he flat out loses to anyone with point and click cc.
He is also fairly inflexible with itemization. He either becomes a squishy murderbot or a shitty offtank. Not only does he fall off late game, he completely relies on his team comp to pick up after his weaknesses( which traditionally is what the jungle does). If his teammates don't understand his strengths and weaknesses then the lee player tends to take all the blame regardless of circumstance. Basically players assume that you are either a god or a total noob. If you watch gripex on his stream you'll see him miss q's all the time, but folks only watch the highlight reels.
