Recent Change To Attack Cancelling Is Clunky - Solution!
I understand the sensibility of the recent change to make kiting easier, where with a certain amount of time left before the attack goes out, move commands wont occur until after the attack. I can easily see how this might be a great help to players struggling to learn to kite, but for me and anyone who has grown super used to kiting manually, it feels really bad. Early game it feels really really clumsy, and late game its slightly less noticeable but nonetheless irritating. Having my attack's issued even a bit differently than I am used to really makes timing exactly when to cancel, or when I want to attack, unnecessarily frustrating. It is more noticeable when manually kiting(which I do), than when using attack move click.
On ADC's it is annoying enough, especially mechanically demanding ones like Ezreal or Vayne, but its even more clunky on my main, Azir. Combined with having to raise and move soldiers, having my attack's forced to carry out even when I want to be able to cancel .06 earlier is surprisingly noticeable early game. I also feel a notable difference trying to attack as early as possible with a solider after I raise it. For example, going W->auto->Q->auto->E in on them is not great, but when after the E I try to place another solider to finish them or set up another Q, attacking with that solider feels a little jammed.
I recognize that for many, this change is extremely helpful, but it feels like it slightly lowers the bar for what you are capable of doing, and disrupts the flow of long practiced champs. However there is a very, very easy workaround to make everyone happy. How about just making the setting a toggle.......
