Climbing

So I kinda hated myself this week because I had plans every day last week and so I knew I'd only have about 7 days to climb from silver 5 -> gold 5

it's not an impossible task, but it does take time and I am a student with a part-time job, so the thought of doing it was pretty daunting, it seemed (and is, now that I've started) like it'd be pretty grueling work. Today was my first day of climbing and not only did it go pretty well (it is silver after all...it's kind of an unpredictable place) but after I won my promos Riot placed me in silver 3! I talked to some friends about it and I guess if you've been winning a lot (I have a 71% win ratio atm, probably from my climb from b4 -> s5 earlier this year) then the system does that.

So thank you so much riot...you've probably saved me about 6-ish games worth of climbing and stopped me from spending several long nights from balancing homework with this climb. I'm just so...relieved lol. I'll continue my climb tomorrow, hopefully 1 tier a day is my goal.

Good luck on your climbing fellow procrastinators ^-^ [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Climbing is nothing more than luck right now.

Had at least 3 games today where the score was something like 20-5 or worse in 15 mins. In one game today, A Velkoz hit a Quadra and our Riven lost 3 turrets in under 12 mins. Yep. GG.

Then, for the cherry on my turd sundae, we were winning but then the jungle AFK'd. Just got outnumbered then our team decided to feed Vlad and I ended up getting demoted due to it.

For the 10%, you might be able to beat the odds, but for the general 90%, this game is luck. And the fucking snowballing is just out of hand.

And the best part is the people who throw the game trying to shift blame on the people who didn't. "I might have 15 deaths, but you lost us the game" - pretty much a paraphase of something I heard today.

damn, that's unlucky. My suggestion is to play snowball champions that are pretty easy to carry with (I'm a Darius main) so as long as do decent in lane and have a better sense of map objectives than the people in your elo, you should be able to win about 60% of your games. What sort of champions do you play and what lane?
