We all know darius has only one shot at bringing a ranged AD towards him, and what bigger "fuck-you" exists than an item that, every thirty seconds, allows an AD to just mindlessly poke darius with no real need to keep pristine kiting because they can freely negate his one and only catch-out tool.

It's honestly infuriating.

Who knows, maybe this thread will get downvoted and never see the light of day and get called a "QQ thread" but I'm calling edge of night as it currently stands, a big pile of bullshit. Why even tack on MR to the item? It counters everything with that spammable spell shield that lasts for a whopping ten seconds.

I mean, the item is meant to help deal with CC. It just so happens that a lot of CC comes from AP mages, and as such Edge of Night has stats based around that. The Spellshield itself is meant to be good against any CC.

I don't mind the idea of ranged and kiting, and apprehend is a check to make sure they either do well or I can punish them. But this item removes that check and just makes ranged curbstomp darius while not allowing darius to do ANYTHING to retaliate, which is wrong.

what you mean like the matchup of darius vs 90% of melee top laners? Wow, that must be horrible. I'd be terrified if the champions I like playing would be entirely useless against one singular champion. oh wait.

edit: admittedly in my first post I missed the point of the thread. Regardless, no darius player ever has the right to whine about a having no counterplay. That is pretty much the entire matchup for most melee top laners.

if the only melee champions are either new, which usually equals overly strong, or champions that have the same uber lane bully mentality, then you have no ground to stand on. Not to mention that what you've just listed is a rather small portion of melee top laners, including but not limited to... Aatrox DrMundo Irelia Kled Nasus Malphite Olaf Pantheon Sion Shen MonkeyKing Yorick and probably a few others I'm missing. You hard counter like 75% of an entire category of champions.

Doesn't his q have a relatively short cooldown and about the same range as his pull? If thats the case just use up a q, pull, do your combo thing and your q would probably be up agian.

Lmao your talking about the champ with insane movespeed, stealth that gives free repositioning, 2 item spike that lets her 1v1 anyway no matter how behind, because of warlords has free built in lifesteal and can delay lifesteal untill later, a point an click cc tool (that can be blocked by banshees and EoN but assuming a frontline has banshees your team will eventually proc it with some spell like a syndra Q and if its a assassin that means either your getting caught so its a 1v1 or your team isn't peeling you which isnt EoN's fault sooooo)

No, I am comparing about how two MR items are stronger vs an AD champion than any AP champion because Vayne is the only champion in that game (IIRC) who only has one ability that can pop a spellshield.
