He's on the somewhat vague list of "soon(tm) to be reworked" -champions. This also means that until then, which will probably be in a few months or even years, he won't receive big changes unless he gets out of line again.

The only thing that makes me mad personally is that he wasn't adressed during the Juggernaut class update. He needed it really badly at that point and back then was the perfect oppportunity.

lol Juggernaut update only defined Darius as the best of the class, and item 3742 got introduced. That is the TL;DR. And now with Charge of the Colossus the gap between Darius and other Juggernauts is even wider, as he's the only having hard CC and able to use this mastery.

I think executioner's calling just needs to be changed. Make it more like morello's where the grievous wounds does not proc at 100% health.

He is on the list for a VGU I believe, along with Amumu Urgot and Rammus . But the issue is that there are so many champs on that list, he's been pushed back to an unforeseeable date. It's part of the reason people have been asking Riot to cut back even more on the New champs and devote more resources to updating older champs.

Mundo will do a lot better once people stop playing him top lane and start playing him jungle and maxing E first.

He's supposed to be a top laner, as his ganking is reliable on hitting a single target skillshot, which is his Q.

Lee Sin has wardhopping, and targeted CC.

VI has R.

Elise has her spider dive, but she's similar to mundo in that basically you land her E or fail the gank. But she can also counterjg and clear faster than Mundo. Does more dmg and snowballs harder. The only thing she lacks is the HP of mundo.

Skarner has his ult

Naut has his ult and E

Camille has her Ult

Ivern has his E, but also semi-reliant on Q, like Elise is. Better clear and counterjgling than Mundo.

This big list includes lots of level 6 ganks. Most of the time ganking happens BEFORE the jungle hits 6 though in order to start the snowballs in other lanes and to get themselves ahead after clearing out the jungle.

Most ganks, after the lvl3 one, happen afterwards. Most of the game, even though they have been shortened significantly, still happen post 6.

Even then, his lvl 3 ganks are worse.

Lee Sin shouldn't be engaging with his Q, for starters. He can get around with W as well.

The other champs, after landing their one skillshot, can reliably latch onto their target. Lee has E/E 2nd cast, Naut has E and his skillshot pulls him to the target. Camille has W, Q ms boost, and her E brings her to the target. Ivern has E and can rightclick the target to sort of dash to him, Skarner has a ms boost, etc.

Mundo has nothing. He just chucks Qs, walks up to you, and starts attacking you. It's a weak gank, that doesn't really do anything.

Mundo was a jungler before he was a top laner, and that's where he's better now. But please, what else should I know about Mundo? Please educate me: I only have 200k mastery and a 65% winrate on him; I'm sure you know the champion better.

He's been put on the VGU list, so that means he'll probably only ever be touched when he is bonkers OP or UP, or in Class Updates until then.

Seeing as juggernauts were already reworked, I don't think he'll be touched in a class update for a loooooooong time. He'd have to be a solo VGU along with huekaiser.

God I hope they don't completely change the way Mundo plays. He has a rather fun playstyle that no other melee really offers. Even worse, I hope they don't change him into some boring serious-mode character like they did with GP.

Kite/poking melee, that centers around baiting people with his sustain and being annoying, with top shelf jungle control with his cleavers. Only Singed is similar to him, but his jungling is awkward at best.

Olaf's diving and jungling are both pretty good, but he doesn't have the level of jungle control that Mundo does, although he is a better duelist. He has to be in the fray to sustain, whereas Mundo doesn't. Mundo is also much better in a poke comp.
