Why does this community still hate Nidalee so much?

While she is not as bad as she use to be, many people remember just how awful her old spears were (in terms of both damage and hitbox), and how overtuned she was in general after her rework.

Because I still remember the 9/10 max hp damage from a single spear.

Because I still remember top lane Triforce Nidalee.

Because I still remember jungle Nidalee every game.

Whenever Nidalee is even remotely strong she's spammed to hell because people find her fun.

because her kit is toxic and similar to blitzcrank makes it where if she lands a spear correctly you're probably dead

Because we still have flashbacks from the time where she threw atomic tree trunks at you that killed you in one hit. She's not that bad anymore admittedly, however, that was a dark time and brought back horrible memories of season 3 giving this explanation.

Most of us would rather she never see the light of day again. It was that traumatic.

Because she is litterally aids that spear is infested with it ... and cougar form bursts for assasin/bursty AP mage like dmg even tho she has 6 abilitys. she should do sustained dmg and be tanky while in cougar form. Not super bursty god with insane mobility that outruns any champion.

Because she's frustrating to deal with. Long range spammy poke plus a spamable dash plus a healing spell equals a champion that is rather difficult to interact with for a large portion of the game's cast.

There are certain champions who were, at one point, so terrible to have in your match, that the community still despises them years later. In Nidalee's case, even though the days of "I got hit by one spear, there goes 90% of my HP" are gone (we hope), it was such a frustrating experience that a lot of players still ahrbor resentment now.

Personally, I still hate Ziggs, even though it has been a long time since he was popular.

Because it's better to blame a chammpion instead of learning.

One part habit, one part confirmation bias, and one part frustrating gameplay pattern.

Fear.

Bronzies/Silvers still have nightmares about the times they forgot they can move the mouse horizontally and took a giant Nid spear in the face. But they also know her terrible win rates/performance means she should get buffed, but the fear of spears cripples them into a mental breakdown full of cognitive dissonance to the point where they just refuse to acknowledge Nidalee's existence.

Honestly since her Rework I've seen a total of 3 Nidalees being good after the shift into lategame. I had even to lane against one as Mordkeaiser and I failed laning really hard and got her 3 kills. Funny thing, after I purchased the spellvamp book and spirit visage I had her on regular farm. Any Nidalee I met (except those 3 I said) fell so hard in usefulness in late game that the match turned always in 4vs5.

I never minded the spears / damage. It was what she did. I hate it that she has a short CD gapcloser/extender that has no resource.

She's not amazingly OP overall but she has a very strong early game and is probably one of the least fun champions to play against with her kit

More like hating the players that just stand back and throw spears all game but don't do anything else.

The community thinks she is far from PURfect, but she isn't so bad as she once was. Maybe you should SPEARhead the attempt to love her. Be careful though because there are many ready to POUNCE on you for loving Nid. (I couldn't think of anymore thats all i got.)

Its similar to the hate for Lee Sin. She is fun to play as, frustrating to play against. You think you have her cornered and she leaps several walls.
