Why I don't play ranked....

Is it stress? Partially, but let me go on...

I have been playing league steadily sense 2010. I have played a few ranked and done well but have never finished a promo.

My friends and I play largely ARAM. It's mostly a group preference.

In normals and aram I am guaranteed to be playing with or against gold - diamond with a few challengers sprinkled in.

Favorite normal rolls... Zyra - support Gragas - top Galio - mid Hecirem - jungle

Ok, my main problem is teammate reliance. Zyra {68% win rate} support is probably my favorite pick and I hit top champ damage every time but my ADC is not always aggressive enough to follow up.

As any top, I have probably had my jungler gank for me twice in the last 10 games.

I know I have a lot of experience at this game but going in solo queue ranked crushes me when I think about how I normally win lane but another lane will be 2-10. I can't 1v5, and for that reason I don't play ranked.

I don't play ranked because I'm only level 25...

I can hardly wait to get in on all the fun, just judging by the gold/platinums I've been matched with in non-ranked who go ballistic when I don't know what to build and go 2/10 when I'm playing Mordekaiser for the first time or rant about how toxic I am after I make one joke.

Honestly, you just have to keep playing ranked until that stress wears off. Its like when you first started playing league and went into your first normals game. I myself enjoy ranked games, and would spam it if it wasn't for the point system. I like the environment, got demoted 2times so don't spam ranked.

Just play with a cool head, don't go in overconfident. Go in and play as it were normals. If there are people that flame you for doing something wrong, insta-mute them. You should probably try to finish promos tho, if you have 4/10 wins you're pretty much guaranteed silver.

The team you're playing has the exact same percentage for their team to feed and your team be the team that is 10-2 at 10 minutes.

Either way, stop playing Ranked so seriously. Play and have fun. You're going to lose games, and badly sometimes, but just have fun and enjoy the game - you might surprise yourself by even liking it!

I guess I'll just push through it. I only played 1 in s4 and there were several golds so it caught me a little off guard. I thought it was going to start me at all non and then build up.

If you play well enough with your friends I'm not sure why you don't start a ranked 5's. This would keep the consistency to something that you know about. I understand why you don't go into solo que, but it makes me still wonder why you don't play ranked.

All of the people I play with are real world acquaintances. Some only play ARAM. And only 2 others are constantly on and at my skill level.

as any top player can tell you myself included your jungler shouldn't have to gank for you and if you do its only because you wouldn't win lane otherwise. also top is more of a farming an sustain lane there are some exceptions such as olaf or tryndamere who will be trying to hit you as much as possible. with your roles support and top would be best carry roles support you can setup and make team plays while still pumping out damage as zyra. in top you either splitpush or roam raoming you make use of your teleport to help bot or mid. and you know what splitpushing is. i hope this at least helped a little.

As Gragas top, worst case, I break even. I never have a game though where I don't get visits from the enemy jungler. Maybe I force it but it just seems odd that they would not come up at least a couple times to snowball the lane.

this is when you tell your jungler to take advantage whenever the enemy jungler comes to gank you have your jungler take dragon/gank bot, also ward down the top river area and in the enemy jungle near top so you can see the enemy jungler coming

Pff I don't play ranked because half the games are"find the easiest and cheepes champ that weren't banned". Seriously!! Riot needs to nerf the ez champions or raise the more difficult champions to the same bar.
