Because I control objectives.

You too can gain elo with this brilliant scheme.

Elo boosters hate it because its the way you boost yourself!

Riot loves it because they literally designed the game to be played around them!

So stop your mindless brawling, Stop your party in the bot lane and take a tower!! Kill a dragon!!! EAT THAT BARON!!!! Win the game by killing the objectives the way riot intended. You know you can do it. So lets see it.

I don't play snowball champs! I'm not good enough to and I know it! :D Learn to play champs with utility every game and you too can lose lane and still matter.

I'd argue it's more about controlling the map regardless of what champ you're playing. But it really doesn't help your team to have a bad KDA. Losing a lane isn't losing the game but it's not helpful. Suggesting anything else is just kind of reckless.

Losing lane tends to mean you're on a worse early game champ that scales hard if you're any good at all. That enables late game wins. Lane doesn't matter much in solo q. Unless you int feed across the board you'll be fine. My KDA is 3.5 / 5.7 / 10.1 in my recent games. I sacrifice myself for the team all the time both as support and JG. I make roam plays which end with my death but also with bot dead and a first tower to us. It hurts me a lot but the objective is worth it.

Sup brew. As a pleb who's been embracing your ways since I started, I just got a few questions to hopefully bring my flaws to light so I can grind them out this preseason If you don't got the time brew, tis allg ;)

What were your biggest flaws and how'd you go about fixing them?

What do you prioritize the most when in game? (Vision, early dragon control ect?)

I peeked and saw your consistency with naut supp, however we both play him allot but in different positions (I jg) but fulfill the same role, a big fat utility tank. You think naut is just flat out too weak to jg in your elo? Or is he just out classed in every way?

Passive pink for longevity (usually in my blue bush)? Or constant replacement of aggressive pinks (river)?

Since you're not necessarily trying to improve mechanically, was there anything else to help you improve apart from repetition/critical analysis?

I find it very awkward to flank mid lane as peoples who lack a way to bypass terrain (naut, nunu, mao). Is trial/error the only way to go about improving that?

Big thanks in advance for anything you answer. Glhf brew :)

  1. My biggest flaw was rage. I stopped it. P5 to P1 1 game from diamond in a week.

  2. Tilting the opposing team. Find one person and sit on them. Never EVER let them go even if it's more optimal early to get someone else. This works especially well if you kill a snowball champ who doesn't have 50+ games on the champ. Riven, Zed, Yasuo, Leblanc if they have under 50 games on it and you kill them 2+ times in 6-8 minutes they will tilt the entire opposing team because assassins have massive over inflated egos.

  3. Never buy less than 2 pinks a game unless you are winning uncontrollably. At 15+ minutes your pink is in the baron pit. All other locations are suboptimal because getting baron puts you over the edge pre 30 minutes and allows for forced ends and 5-7k leads to explode into uncontrollable 12k leads where you could get your AD popped before the fight starts and still win it.

  4. Mental state was the biggest improvement. I'm better than them. I'm going to make every death I have high value even though I am going to die. Trading 1 for 1 is bad for most roles. Support trading 1 for one on non support targets is awesome in late game. JG trading for mid or AD late game is game ending.

  5. If mid lane isn't over extended flash on them as naut. Even if its just a flash auto. Usually you can force the flash which either forces them to be passive or enables your lane to outplay them. Just an auto followed by the follow up Q E is often enough to kill them or deny them a level midlane.

  6. I don't gank on nunu. I just get 5 dragons, RH, and baron, every game. If you kill baron at 20-27 minutes you almost ALWAYS win the game no matter how behind you are. To help my laners i give them level 1 buffs. Starting with red to top or bot at level 1.

Yxgl222HaX1 votes

Lol i play champs that get leads early on with high early game power but its very hard to win in solo que that way because i sacrifice alot of late game for that. So if i dont get enough early to counteract my teams feeding then we lose :P But with solo que coming up there is still hope bois! it will be back. That and my best role is support and its not as easy to win from that

Support is the easiest role to win from. You control the baron pit and get free barons.

mabye in just about any other elo, but in gold 5 there are way to many players that where either boosted, got lucky placements, or are currently boosting so you have a really bad mix of players who are way better than they should be, way worse than they should be, and then the actual gold level player like myself. So actually relying on your team nets about a 50/50 chance of winning... in other words not climbing at all. i focus only on the things that i myself have control over to improve my game play and over all win rate... such as mechanics, builds, macro play ect. Blaming my team everytime i lose would get me nowhere because at the end of the day its my lp, not theirs. So i play alot of individual champions that have potential to be monsters, like syndra, zed, yasuo, ahri (sometimes lb) and veigar. with the exception of veig most of these are pretty op early but dont scale as well as other things. For support i generally use morganna as my number one and then sona, then leona/thresh then nami. The account i actually play on is "Tacos and sex" in game... if you feel like looking it up and seeing what i mean about focusing on myself based off my ranked stats n stuffs

Caitlyn Holy shit how are we losing They never even try to fight us

Your turret has been destroyed

Your turret has been destroyed

Your turret has been destroyed

Your inhibitor has been destroyed

Morgana Cait can you stop mindlessly looking for picks and help with fucking objectives You are literally only there when there is a kill to steal.

Illaoi Nasus is literally tanking both Nexus turrets while Tristana melts them. DO SOMETHING WITH ALL THOSE KILLS YOU STOLE!

Caitlyn but... I won lane.

Illaoi and you think the best way to use that lead is to chase down the goddamn Zilean...

Nasus Some people never learn. Winning lane. Losing lane. It matters not. All that matters is the st- TRISTANA YOU STOLE A TURRET STACK FROM ME

ManiacalCoyote1 votes

That sounds just like a Nasus game: AFK farm for 30 minutes, then rapid-push inhib.

Although, I wouldn't really need Tristana, except for dealling with the pesky champions.

I'm not absent from the plays. I'm just not involved in the kills. Often I die zoning the heavily fed carry while my team beats the opposing front line.

Athenes Lulu9 votes

For those who find this unclear, OP is talking about the fact that you don't have to have a positive KDA every single game just to win.

The overall team's KDA can be shit but still wins because they took down more towers at more important spots.

Tattersall2 votes

I find (without any legitimate research) that it tends to be the team with more assists that wins, not the team with more kills.

Something that was not written in this post is that the KDA of the person who made this article is overall REALLY GOOD, and he is platinum 1. In his world, having a bad score is like even taking a single death deficit. let alone more than 4 deaths in a WHOLE GAME is a RARITY.

I suggest you should not post this sort of words in the open without specifying. People might take it VERY literally. People lower than your elo, generally take double or even triple more TIMES of deaths you have. It's NOT like what you think.

In my main account, I got to Master Tier doing this as a jungler. I can't carry for shit, and my mechanics are Wood V level. Heck, I'm a Xin Zhao main, literally one of, if not the worst actual jungler in the game since patch 6.9.

Trias0001 votes

But Xin Zhao one-shots turrets

xxxDogmanxxx2 votes

He can't run down turrets without building damage, he can't live more than a second in fights without building tank. He cant do either if he builds half damage, half tank. Xin Zhao can't do shit, he got nerfed too hard and too often this season.

Trias0001 votes

He builds Trinity Force and turrets just disappear whenever he comes close to them.

I have played lots of Xin Zhao lately, pretty good 1v1, and can take two turrets in under a minute with titanic and a rageblade <3

this is kinda how Ziggs works right now. sure if he wins lane and gets fed he is really useful in teamfights. but if he is behind... let him splitpush alone.. he will most likely die if they come to stop him.. but he is goign to take a turret with him every time.

why i take summoner 12 on him every game

no you get lucky and are carried, a quick scan of your boosted account shows you factually do not control objectives, you are a perma support who was massively boosted early in the season and now you linger in the 50-50 zone. Was a nice try though, anything to fluff that ego that you impact the games in anyway when you literally do nothing to impact the outcome of your matches. Pro Tip dont get boosted it places you vs players you cant hang with.

In solo que you are the only person in 100% of your games.

People don't get to 100+ Wins and be lucky. Positive attitude. Good baron control. Discipline to not chase kills and to give up kills to live.

My most recent games are mostly Morg mid, Karthus mid, Sona when I get support (Which I admittedly need to play more to be good on outside of lane). I quit for 4 months and was demoted to G1. My rank last season was P2 1 game from P1. I play nunu jg as well and control objectives although I moved away from JG when my main became FoTM because he's always banned.

If you are any rank below D3 you deserve to be there with over 100 wins. At D3 the mechanical skill jump to D1 becomes giant.

You personally are P5 because you deserve to be there. You too can improve with better vision and baron control. You don't buy wards or swap to a sweeper. What do you expect? If you ever win a 4-1 or 4-0 fight at 20+ minutes baron should die. If it doesn't you and your team has made a mistake. This facet alone will make you gain elo. I know I lost all 3 of my diamond promos and sure there were games which would have put me over the top on other people (the int feeder in one of them, the guy that afk'ed to intentionally lose my series game because he disliked that i was being positive exct) but really there were games I could have made the decisive factor in and even a lead I threw because I made a mistake and didn't respect their lead enough. It's on me. 95 times out of 100 it's on you. It's always your responsibility if you win or lose. Challenger players win games below challenger/master 97% of the time. So realistically 1/10 games you'll lose because it's out of your control. Similarly you'll win about 1/10 games which are completely beyond your ability to lose. Those 8 games in the middle decide who will rise and fall.

Sylvant1 votes

Its about your champion. Some champs would carry a game with good KDA, some champs are better at picking objectives, disregarding their kda. E. g. assassin vs split pusher.
