Looking back on League...
...it is painfully clear that it will never be as good as Season 2, ever again. For all of its faults, I would take it back in a heartbeat over what the game has become, and the crap apparently coming down the line. I mean really Riot, you want to make this game into Hat Fortress? Give me a fucking break. Cosmetics and sales have become the focus of this game. The glamorous veneer of the obnoxiously stale pro scene. Gameplay is a secondary concern at best. Riot clearly wants League to be a spectator sport, not something that the playerbase can actually enjoy. This godawful matchmaking system is proof enough of that. It's practically a barrier to personal enjoyment.
Oh and don't forget the old HUD. This new fucking abomination is being rammed down our throats even though we not only never wanted or needed it, but most everyone seems to outright HATE it. I would even go so far as to state that I hate on a molecular level everyone who contributed to its design and implementation, as well as its very inception. Seriously I hope your skin bursts into flames.
The Bilgewater announcer is fucking cool though. He so eloquently sums up the events of the match, describing in excruciating detail the massacre of my feeding teammates. That guy is the best idea Riot has had in a good long while I think.
