Looking back on League...

...it is painfully clear that it will never be as good as Season 2, ever again. For all of its faults, I would take it back in a heartbeat over what the game has become, and the crap apparently coming down the line. I mean really Riot, you want to make this game into Hat Fortress? Give me a fucking break. Cosmetics and sales have become the focus of this game. The glamorous veneer of the obnoxiously stale pro scene. Gameplay is a secondary concern at best. Riot clearly wants League to be a spectator sport, not something that the playerbase can actually enjoy. This godawful matchmaking system is proof enough of that. It's practically a barrier to personal enjoyment.

Oh and don't forget the old HUD. This new fucking abomination is being rammed down our throats even though we not only never wanted or needed it, but most everyone seems to outright HATE it. I would even go so far as to state that I hate on a molecular level everyone who contributed to its design and implementation, as well as its very inception. Seriously I hope your skin bursts into flames.

The Bilgewater announcer is fucking cool though. He so eloquently sums up the events of the match, describing in excruciating detail the massacre of my feeding teammates. That guy is the best idea Riot has had in a good long while I think.

It's not like the matchmaking system has changed significantly since Season 1 . . .

Meh, Riot's not really worth the effort or the emotion anymore. For every fault you can find with their game, you can find at least 30-40 people willing to vehemently defend it. I'd go find something else to play or at least put your main focus on. For me, I've been playing FF14 ever since DJ Sona polluted the client. I poke around here out of curiosity or play an aram or two whenever it goes down for a maintenance patch. Beyond that? Eh...

I am a lot happier though! I didn't realize just how angry and depressed Riot, League, and the player base was making me until I stopped being a part of it. Maybe it'll do you some good to step away as well OP.

i liked season 2 a lot. the tank items were better, The mages and assassins were powerful. Teams still revolved around adcs. Support was a bitch job however.

R.I.P: Olaf, kassadin (i dont care kass sees plays when azir is picked in LCS or olaf sometimes, they still both shit)

TL:DR -

"The fact that people enjoy watching LCS is a barrier to personal enjoyment, and I physically cannot play the game because Riot has decided to adhere to the customer's requests and grant their wishes of skins and new champions."
