Honestly, while I do agree that Season 8 is really hurting us ... (In the Eyes of a Support)

Least it's not Season 7, aka the meta where if you didn't go an Enchanter with broken , you were likely going to lose the game.

You see, as a Support Main .... that season was absolute torture. Even if you enjoyed playing such champions ( ), you were a slave to your ADC. If you weren't following your ADC 24 / 7 and spamming shields & heals onto em, you were likely going to lose the game hard. I remember so many games where I was flamed in lobby (I was in Plat btw) that I was trolling if I didn't pick an Enchanter.

In this meta, while it has a lot of problems ... I can pick whoever the hell I want and manage. is really fun, is my favorite when it works, can even do some plays if you nail your combo. Best part is, I don't have to be with my ADC at all, though it's still recommended to help them during the laning phase. I can help top, mid, get objectives like dragon / baron and not get flamed for it. This meta really allows you to almost play whoever in any role, even though meta picks are still stupidly oppressive as ever.

So yea, does this meta blow? It does, but as a Support Main ... i'm happy with the freedom to be whatever. Season 7 was perhaps my worst meta because I was literally forced to play the same champions, rush and be my ADC's slave. I'm not even kidding, it was a horrific experience that I never want any role to experience, and I hope Riot ensures they never do a "Everyone must serve the ADC at all costs" meta ever again.
