Silver 3 needing advice.

I'm in this win lose win lose win lose win lose win lose win lose kind of situation, which is preventing me from climbing to gold. It's frustrating and feels like if I do bad, my team does good and if my team does good I do bad. Seems like one person carrying games are less common now too. BUT WANT THE ORIANNA SKIN. Any advice?

a few points of general advice:

  1. Really focus on not overstaying and trying to keep your team from overstaying. This is one of the biggest and easiest fixes in low elo.

  2. Play what you know, and play what is good for the situation not what you want. EX: I am a support main. My blind pick (as in I do not know the enemy support pick) is nami because she can survive in most comps. When I KNOW who my opponent is I counter pick. Try to have your champ pool be as small as possible but big enough to cover all/most the matchups. If you dont know all your lane match ups then learn them and if you need to learn a new champ so you can counter them then do it. - sorry this point of focus will probably help you climb in the long run and will not save you this season probably.

  3. Build accordingly. To many people build the same items each and every game. You shoudl be tailoring your buidl to the situation. If they are heavy AP then work some MR items in. If they have a fed assassin, maybe get a defeneisve item that will help... ect.

Well... Ofc it's better to counterpick but the best counterpick is useless if you have no fun playing him. My suggestion is: learn 1-3 champs you really have fun with and play them. Even if you pick only 1 and go otp you can reach diamond.

What role do you play?

My advice is stop trying to force wins. Play to survive instead of playing to win.

When your enemy goes to force wins you punish that shit.

I think that can work if you and your team know how to punish, but I think in lower elo you have to be more proactive and try winning for your team, as opposed to letting the enemy come to you.

Yeah well this guy is never going to get out of silver charging in 1v5 hoping to carry for his team.

You get out of silver by punishing mistakes(like collapsing on an idiot going in 1v5 forcing fights), if you can't do that you won't climb out.

It's so easy to just sit back and chill in silver and let the other team win for you.

if I do bad, my team does good and if my team does good I do bad.

You barely have any games played this season. Also work on your CSing

To be honest a lot of Silver is sitting at honor 0/1 and ain't getting rewards anyway... so frankly we just don't much care if we win or lose. At this point it's just playing to waste some time.

Have the exact same problem in the same elo, at this point I see it as a dice roll because 1 good player cant win a game but 1 lane lost (which usually is at least 2 in silver 3) can lose the game and nothing you can do about 2 lanes losing and still trying to cs and win your role. Just spamming ranked and hoping to get lucky with decent teams at some point.

  1. Use normal games to warm up. Then do your real ranked games where you are focused and concentrated.

  2. Do only a few ranked games a day when you are in your best mood. If you just wanna play for fun or brain afk go normals.

  3. Only play with 1 - 3 champs.

  4. Only play one role.

  5. Restart Queue if it goes too long so you get your first role every time.

  6. Learn to play safe, learn to not overstay, learn to take objectives after won fights, learn that sometimes its better NOT to fight, learn to look at minimap more often(!), learn to not fight 4vs5/3vs4 etc. (for example if someone is splitpushing), don't go in if you don't know where the rest of enemy team is, don't start fights (in mid/lategame) if no one is near to help you.

  7. Learn to wait until enemy team makes a mistake and punish it instead of forcing bad fights by yourself. Pro's do the same, they play safe, that's why their games are 7:5 at 20 minutes and Bronze games are 34:29 at 20 minutes.

  8. My best tip for you is: LEARN TO LET GO. Sometimes you make a plan in your head for the next seconds. For example: "oh look, this situation right now is perfect to flash and kill that guy" but while you run at him you realize something goes wrong. For example he is backing away. Then you NEED to drop your plan! I know it's hard. But my theory is: most people know when they do a shitty move but they can't let go! Because the plan is already in their heads. It's like chasing someone that is 1% HP. You KNOW you can't reach him anymore but you don't wanna realize it cause you are so angry that he will get away with it. So you chase him and die under turret. Just save your flash and use it next time in a better situation.
