Was there any logical reason to add an additional "lock in" button to cause dodges?

I mean, you're obviously not afk because you just picked a champ, and possibly just banned a champ. What possible benefit is there to adding another move that potentially dodges you from the game? Does someone at riot laugh at the fact that i have to go through 15 lobbies before 5 people all know to ALSO hit the lock in button?

Change this crap, the dodges are out of control and a needless annoyance.

its an attempt to prevent people from waiting the entirety of the allotted time in order to speed up champ select. Unfortunately people are too stupid to read the tool-tip and lock their champion in. [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

"its an attempt to prevent people from waiting the entirety of the allotted time" Thats why im against it.

I should be allowed the entire time to pick or switch my pick.

you are..you just have to click a button before the time runs out. the only thing you have "lost" is the ability to hover a champion and then safely use that extra time to fap or get a bottle of water...or get a bottle of water and fap. If you really miss this "window of opportunity" might i suggest a support group of some kind.

Is this seriously still a thing people are having trouble with? Yes, the first couple of days were painful, but by now people have adjusted and it has been a long time since I had someone dodge by accident. At this point, it jsut speeds things up as people lock in their pick faster. (Which was the point, btw)
