After being frustrated several seasons ago by the declining state of the game, and that little to nothing was being done to deter people from griefing, trolling, and otherwise intentionally ruining games, I made this account to troll intentionally to prove trolls didn't get punished, but that you'll get banned for objectively pointing out trolls without cursing or being offensive.

I did that, playing normally for about 50 games to establish a baseline, then intentionally losing games by itning, trolling, using insanely stupid builds, and afking. I lost 80ish% of my games until I hit bronze 5 (the bottom at the time). I posted it here and Riot actually told me I wasn't trolling and dismissed my claims.

After that I stopped bothering on my main, it was too frustrating to play a coin flip of seeing which team gets the guy who decides he doesn't actually want to win.

I recently came back for giggles and played some games, and my fucking god, it is so much worse.

Not only have none of the issues from a few seasons ago been addressed, but they're actually significantly worse. The trolls, griefers, and afkers are all still doing their thing in more than 50% of games, and now they managed to remove nearly every element of skill and tactical expression from the game entirely.

The game is now like if you made a top down street fighter game with only 4 moves, no combos, and had to play it with 4 people who wished you were dead. It's literally unplayable as anything other than a joke to laugh at.

I honestly found myself just waiting to see who would lose their shit first and intentionally lose, rage, and spam pings and laughed at it. I don't think I experienced one competitive game where it felt like teams were evenly matched and everyone tried.

I understand why Riot is turning to making other games all of a sudden, the clock has to be ticking on this one.

I honestly want to commend everyone that has stood by and supported this game out of a love for the genre and what the original dev's created. But the reality has to be told - this game is an insult to the players that built this company into what it is today. I would make a detailed post about all the ways this game is a joke now, but it is very apparent nobody at Riot cares anymore.

Well said op. Aside from visuals and graphics this game has gotten progressively worse since I started in Season 6

I have to say this is 100 percent true.

Like I said in other topics, it's all about money. It's a very deceitful and dishonest business model.

The worse the game becomes for people that care about winning, the more likely it is that they become insulting. When they insult, they get chat banned, then account banned eventually. People will make new accounts and spend more money. It's genius and evil on Riot's part.

Call someone the n word, get banned. Good! Call someone the n word but spell it with an A at the end, no ban. Because that's hard to filter I guess, right? I commonly see the n word with an a at the end from the same people over and over.

Someone purposely dives repeatedly into the enemy because you didnt gank them when they felt you should? No ban.

Ask what that person is doing, and then tell them you're going to report them? Well, telling people you're going to report them is toxic behavior, of course. Ban!

Lmao so far all the ranked games ive played have had either glass ego narcissists holding my jg hostage or flaming the other lanes, or a bot lane that fights with eachother and never ever admits wrongdoing. Each game ive been trolled, and nothing has happened to them because the report system is fucking garbage. Literally one person got punished, and it was an enemy that wouldn't stop flaming their support. Its been on both sides, and has ruined all my games, yet riot does nothing. Buncha idiots are gonna kill the game if they keep ignoring shit like this, and so far, they have been.

Edit: To address what you said about other games, OP, If this is how riot treats balance and game health for league, i wouldent get my hopes up for the other games, because 3 of the 4 require HEAVY balance in their genres, and so far, its not looking pretty.

The thing is. Riot itself "raised" their players like this. Due to the one sided and fast snowball games who are decided pretty early, players nowadays are "mental boom" more than ever, giving up after 5 minutes in the game. Also the fact that you get punished when you lose your shit about inters afkers but not for inting itself taught people how to behave. The know exactly what to do to fuck people up without getting punished. Just don't use curse words and you are fine.

Lol this "riot is making other games because league is dying" is the most monkey statement I've ever seen. Please, for the love of god, do yourself a favor and buy one of those "business for dummies" books or something. A company whose main marketable product is "dying" just announced 5 projects to which they'll be dedicating resources and also pays studios to outsource even more games. That's not what a company does when its game is dying, it does so when it makes them FAT CASH. Some of these projects have been in the works for YEARS now, ever since league was constantly on the rise. You think that they supposedly saw their playerbase and revenue get decimated and thought "hmm, yeah we are in the pits so the best course of action is to expand our IP by pouring a river of money in tons of other projects, that should seal the deal", God the things people say sometimes...

This season is even more of a joke. Every second match I play I wish ends in a surrender at 15 minute because you can see the obvious mistakes people commit and you KNOW they won't win the game because of their shit decision making. I've been AFK'ing more this season than ever and matchmaking is hopeless.

I can be ahead of my laner but then when you see the other 4 people sitting around with negative KDA it's time to either call for a surrender vote or run it down hoping your already shit teammates get to lose faster and you go next.

Quite literally lost an account for responding to flame by pointing out that every season they person who flamed was below me in rank. Ive now gotten my account to almost good honor level..even tho there are games where obviously i trolled, as long as I didnt say anything and got a few assists, nothing happened. I've learned when the tilt gets too bad, you gotta let that shit out, and run it down...just don't make it obvious. It's sad, but hey it is what it is.

I really have no idea what riot is doing. Their priorities are completely off. Punishing people who comment on toxic behavior is the wrong way to go...

I just made a post asking if Riot actually even checks reports. Your post confirmed that they don't. Every. Single. Game. I'm dealing with feeders or flamers. Constantly being called r%%%%%ed, told to kill myself, harassed and belittled... It happens to the extent that there is NO WAY Riot is doing A DAMN THING.

And the way they completely screwed the jungle up completely this season just has people not wanting to play it. I get an autofilled jungler no less than 50% of the time, and that is almost as bad as someone purposely trolling in this meta cause if you don't know what you are doing it's real easy to lose your team the game unintentionally.

Wins feel bad and loses feel worse, and you are so unlikely to have an even game so the satisfying games are so few and far between it starts making you feel like a crack addict chasing that high, except now you are smoking couch stuffing and the good stuff is long gone.

I've been playing League since season 4, and I honestly can't agree more. I don't even know where to start with the plethora of issues this game has. Like, I can't even find a reason to participate in ranked anymore. So sad.
