No, he's not op. Jayce literally has everything Pantheon has and does it better (except Panth's ult). I really don't want to be panth defined by his ult only, you could remove his early spear bullying, but please, rework Panth, currently I see no point in picking him over Jayce or similar early game toplanes.

He's a walking stat check atm, and conveys everything that Riot wanted to get rid of with the assassin update. All point and click with no interaction or counterplay otherwise.
He's really strong though not sure why he's not more common.

Yea he bullies squishy AP Mids and is a good ganker from jungle.
Taking him top is silly considering his roaming ultimate, and the fact he's not meant to fight vs tanks.

I dunno - he has more threat than most mages do up close - he doesn't actually have to DO anything to the mage, he just has to walk up with the threat of either a Q, or a Stun -> Heartseeker strike combo and most mages back off and miss CS. His Q really, really hurts early game. The fact he has point and click CC and damage puts him ahead of a lot of long-range mages like Lux, Ahri, Xerath, Ziggs, etc. since he can stand between the minion wave and the enemy to zone them, and the second that the mage either uses a spell to farm, or whiffs a skillshot, he has free reign to all in, and can either 100-0 most enemies, or do enough to force them to back.
And if his jungler ever comes mid, all he has to do is flash forward and stun, and there's no chance of dodging or juking it - you're going to die before the stun wears off.
Since he's AD, he also can get a Maw which is a very good way of shutting down most mages (see most Yenn threads for the amount of salt this item entails).
The mages I see who would be the worst matchups would be the ones who also have point and click CC / spells like Ryze and Annie. But even so, he can probably outburst a vast majority with few exceptions.
Kar Komak1 votesNot only would a rework be good but a visual update as well. His trees for legs aren't that aesthetically pleasing. Besides, as one of the older champs for the game, I would hope that he's next in line for the visual update or even rework. Pls Rito? Panth needs an update...
