Why you should surrender and why you shouldn't

You can change the in game score but you can't change the players in game. If you have someone toxic or intentionally feeding please don't force the other players to deal with that person. Give the game up and move on. Forcing people into the game for longer only worsens the moral and mentality of those in the game. If everyone is positive don't ff. It's that simple.

So when you have someone trolling but you think there's about a 30% chance you can carry, you should still surrender?

It just isn't simple by definition. When should you surrender? When the guy carrying you says it's time to surrender. He knows his limits. If you're the one trying to carry, you make the judgment call. At least that's my opinion.

I can't tell you how sickening it is when I can win any 1v3 and my team surrenders because they can lose any 4v1 (and I'm not being toxic, although tbf in a lot of these cases at least 1 of my teammates are being toxic). Just mute and let the guy who wants to carry, carry. Even if you win 2% of those games, that becomes a big difference over time. My most memorable games have been comebacks from 20min surrender votes (then 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 that all got denied) then we win in 1h16. Again to be fair though, that specific game no one was a jerk ;)

I had a game where my team surrendered just because the enemy Quinn (who was playing the champ for the first time) was mildly fed. Meanwhile I was also playing Quinn, a champion that I have mastered pretty well, but had fallen behind a bit due to lagging a bit at the start of the match.

So I know how to play Quinn, and know her much better than my opponent, yet my team still surrenders, just because of 1 player. (And Quinn was the only big source of damage/threat on their team). Really made me mad.

I had a game today where total kills were even (something like 21-21) and the enemy team had 2 Dragons to our 1. We were up 1 or 2 turrets but didn't have any inhibitors. They surrendered.

To be fair, I was 14/2/5(so 19/21 kills) as Hecarim or something around that, but their Ahri was 12/3/4 and was only about 1K gold behind me. I couldn't believe they surrendered. No complaint about trolls or anything either...

This topic alone is a very hefty one. I believe that surrendering is in your best interest during a stomp/feeder/troller/afker because it removes LoL's sole purpose: fun.
