The core reason why the Cass rework is a failure

Okay, after a lot of thought and discussion in these recent cass threads, I think I have finally figured out why the rework is such a terrible failure.

No, it's not that her passive is a chore or has nothing to do with her theme.

No, it's not the nerfs to her Q and W that make them feel very lack luster.

No, it's not that her entire power budget is spent on her E.

It's not any of those things. Those things are issues, yes, but that is not why her rework is largely unacceptable to the cassiopeia player base.

The core issue with the cass rework is that she is being strong-armed into being a late game "hyper-carry."

So let me put this as simply as possible:

We don't want cass to be a hyper carry!

There, I said it. Just don't do it riot, just don't. We want cass to be a strong laner, have an excellent mid game and a decent late game. We don't want an inverse powercurve that leaves her weaker than veigar in lane only to be mildly stronger than she used to be late game.

If I want to play a late game hyper carry of a mage, I'll play veigar, ryze, or syndra. All of these are super good late game for various reasons: Veigar has infinite scaling, Ryze gets to build tanky and still do tons of dmg, and Syndra has some of the best ranged burst in the game ALONG WITH one of the longest ranged multi-target stun in the game. You are trying to force cass into a crowded role atm, and it isn't working. The worst part is, 2 of these 3 examples have great laning phases!

So no, we as the cassiopeia player base DO NOT want cass to be a late game hyper carry. End of story.
