Any other non-mid players use mid as their secondary role to always get their primary?

I know most of my friends do this. Mid is essentially the no-other-role selection.

It's making me wonder if there should be some sort of compensation for getting your secondary that would make you feel it's OK to get it every so often (and thus, not just always throw mid in there).
