Mute all by default?

I notice you can mute your enemies by default, but not your team? Seems a bit odd that we can just type /mute all at the start of the game, but have to remember to do it every time before they start spewing whatever slur is on the menu that day.

I'd be interested to see a breakdown on LoL team chat between constructive team advice, blaming a lane/jungle/champion, raging, claiming afk and spouting nonsense.

Because it seems like the rarest would be the first. Especially now we can convey information with pings.

So, can we have the option to turn it off by default? I find every game with a muted team a far more positive experience than one without and, as said, with pings I know what everyone is doing regardless.

I mean, I wouldn't mind the same for the lobby. Apart from asking someone to pick something, I don't think I've seen a positive exchange in there in the last 6 months.

This. Please. I'm a pretty new player and I don't tilt easily or flame but man, this community is by far the most toxic I've ever been a part of. I find I enjoy the game most when I play as if the other players are bots that may randomly be good or bad. Having them muted by default would be a great QoL improvement.

Yes, please!! Sure, you can convey tactics and tips in team chat, but I see that extremely rarely. The vast majority of the time the team chat only makes the team play worse. Maybe something could be done to get a nicer community, but until then I would love to have this option.

I just find it funny a lot of other games I have played have either removed chat between opposing teams or make it so you can completely turn off chat.
