Ranked teams no longer exist, but dynamic queue is generally a superior replacement for it. You're no longer limited to 9 players like teams had. However, there is the downside of not being able to play with people too different in rank for you.

eh not sure if i like that. Suppose if your plat+ its not a big issue but lower rank if someone gains in rank while playing alone that pretty much means they cant play with the team unless they have a smurf

You actually nailed exactly the division line for the problem. For everybody gold and below, hard resets are vastly superior for getting to your actual rank. For plat and above, it's still a massive pain the ass to play against people who are already the same skill as you just to prove that you're as skilled as you were, but it does take a bit less games than a hard reset to get back to where you were.
