Can we just not release new champs for a while?
How about we make the reworked champs count as new champs for a little bit. The game already has enough champions as is and adding more just causes more balance nightmares.

but muh m0ni
New champions are better for a business generally
Riot makes more than enough money off of skins alone. Not to mention that people are basically forced into buying rune pages and champions with RP because of how ridiculous the ip system is in this game. Releasing reworked champions instead of new champions would be a lot better for this game and wouldn't really hurt their business at all.
I figure eventually Riot will get the message that a 250th champion will be less appealing than a more fun game.
Screw you. Part of the fun of this game is the new cool kits Riot comes up with every so often. Also each champion expands on the lore of the game which is cool too.
Reworks do exactly the same thing fam.
They won't expand the universe as much though. But you are more than half right.
didn't you see the new warwick lore/background?
I did.
That's an arguable point. We have a shit load of champions that have zero impact on the lore right now. Shaco, Nocturne, and Fiddlesticks don't even have relations with other characters as Warwick previously had with Singed and Soraka.
Even if Riot sticks to VGUs, the amount of lore to be expanded is still as big as what they could do with new champs.
Warwick previously had relations with Singed and Soraka.
Kinky.
searches "scientist, wolf, goat-feet-girl threesome" in pornhub
If we are sticking to old lore, "student and teacher visited by celestial goddess"
But the goat feet are my fetish and I wanna make sure they are in the video. Don't judge me
Topic changed pretty quickly^ [zombie-brand-clap]
You do know there'll be a certain point where old champs are all reworked, and i'm sure their haven't been much left out there. I'm all for you on this thread though, but your comments seem to be focused specifically on reworking champs for the sake of diversity and renewing experiences. Which leaves me with one curiousity, do you mean reworking all the existing champions every once in a while, because that wouldn't really be a smart move since their are tons of new champs that I consider like syndra elise zed yasuo vi jinx and you name it, Or reworking old champs? ( which are very few now btw )
I want Riot to halt new production and fix all their mistakes, namely Vladimir Mordekaiser Kalista Azir...
Anyone that they completely gutted. But that's just my 2 cents
Agreed on that, they really should focus on balancing the game as a whole first then consider producing more champs with the game on it's healthier state.
no, adding more unbalanced champs just causes more balance nightmares
which is basically every new champ at this point.

This. Just release more
.
Rerelease Kled, but Skaarl rides him.
That's when my name really begins to shine
Kinky.
Riot is balancing more than adding so eventually everything will be fine.
And eventually is not too far out
you are delusional they intent to make the game unbalanced on purpose, its a cycle its been 7 years the game out now, if it was in thier initial plans to balance everything it would have been done for a long time. (i bet my whole bank aco%%%% that this game won't even be near to be balanced in the 40 next years)
You're not a very smart person if you think that's true. Why would they wanna make the game purposely unbalanced? That gives riot 0 benefits. And if u beleive that they do it on purpose why are you still playing this game?
i am sorry to annonce you that but the facts are here, also you are not a very smart person if you didn't realize ... small stuff like this ... riot don't balance the game on purpose for a simple fact .. people stay hooked.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e31OSVZF77w (its called the pefect imbalance) very simple stuff i bet you feel really really stupid after looking into this video poor soul of you.
According to this video an "unbalanced" game is good. So whats the issue? Cause you clearly have an issue with it.
ok, yeah, ur dumb. (looks like you can't even read proprely comments) look up for my first comment and point out where i ever talked about if it was a good or a bad thing. (i feel so sorry for your parents they must had a very hard time with you)
I doubt Riot will stop producing new champs for at least a few more years. Hell, I like seeing new champs in League too. Not from a gameplay perspective (I'm satisfied with the champs I got), I mean from a thematic & narrative perspective. A new champ can cover a thematic or narrative previously untouched & add something to the world of Runeterra Personally, I'm a fan of the "slow down champs' releases" idea. Instead of 5-6 champs per year, how about we drop it to 3-4 or hell, maybe even 2? Then move the unused resources to the ChampUP team for their VGUs. This way we still get new champs & old champs gets more love.
I get the business but isn't reworking champs and releasing a cpl new skins on release is better? I mean to be honest not many use RP to buy champs. not many at all. most long players have enough ip to spare anyway. and new players are buying other ones.
Champs that need reworked:

Most of these probably dont belong on the list. But in case most of them do, it will take Riot probably 2-3 years to get most of them done.
lul at Yorick. He JUST got Reworked. Same with Ryze.
ryze was a troll one i put up there because Riot reworks him every year. New Yorick isnt that good.
"New Yorick isn't that good." Bitch pls. New Yorick is good if you're good with him. He is a niche champ, though & isn't made for everyone.
Most of these probably dont belong on the list.
Dont get salty when these are just my opinions lol. Yorick relies on his minions to do damage for him, and his minions die in one hit, so now all he left with is basically his wall and Ult which his ult can only target one person.
His Q hurts like a bitch, his ult allows him to duel very effectively with the maiden, and while his ghouls die quickly, you have to deal with them first which leaves you open to get your face smashed in with a shovel.
He relies on his minions, which is a part of his niche as a necromancer anyway, but he can still hurt without them.
Ryze will keep needing reworks till riot realizes u cant balance a champion with his design. Espcially when after every rework they add MORE to his kit. this time it was a teleport while switching his previous ult into his passive and q passive.
add her to the list
we feel your pain
leave my yi alone
ok enjoy your bugs then.
bugfixes=/=rework
They are reworking
next. We dont know what is after him, for the Champion Update list on Riot Support hasnt been updated(The Assassin Update is still up there, followed by Warwick and Galio).
Also sir, Garen and Mordekaiser just got reworked into juggernauts not even two years ago, Shen was reworked in what, Mid-Late 2015, early 2016? And Yorick was just recently. Also, why the hell is Kindred up there? Shes the newest champion on that roster, and she definitely does not need a rework anytime soon, she is fine where she is. You cant just put Champions up there due to if they are OP or not viable right now, or in between, Riot usually reworks champions if
- How old they are
No. Just no. The reason old champion get reworked is because their kits are naturally outdated due to a rise of new metas. However, their age aren't brought onto the account where deciding whether to rework them or not. Yes, Morde was recently reworked, but lets be clear, his rework ruined him, and he is worse than most of the champions on his list.
Hmm, sorry about that, i was just going off of the current pattern of champions getting reworked and how they are mostly old champions, like years old.
Why Wukong?
I think unique kits don't really need reworks, but old champions (mostly 450 ones actually) need some love, alot of the more expensive ones are in a better place design wise.
Honestly i have stated this before and still agree 100% i'd rather see the old champs that need reworks done and others brought back in that need tweeks and balances. then lets talk about items and the map then new champs.
