Akali's nerfs are disappointing

Taking utility out of champions simply makes them more binary. Since you're only relying on damage at that point the champion becomes more feast or famine in these big fights with little opportunity to do anything outside of, "can it oneshot?"

So what do we do with Akali? Lower her damage. As it stands past Gunblade she's able to kill you with only using her of her mobility spells for damage, the rest is supplemented by her passive on autos, Electrocute, Q, and Gunblade. She needs less capability to run you down over a long stretch, because as it stands that's probably more of a problem than towerdives where she requires to use all, if not almost all of her kit to kill you.

The more we nerf champion niches and mechanics and the less we touch damage/mobility, the less viable the champion becomes in competitive play, and the more it becomes a noobstomper.

wasn't that the point of the rework, that she trades burst potential for being able to have good extended damage?

What would she do if she didn't have the damage?

Why... Would you suggest to lower her damage when Akali's output pales in comparison to her peers? This isnt pre-rework Akali here, she needs to proc her passive at least twice then double ult unless shes an item or more ahead. Even then she only gets one kill before dying herself or her allies successfully zone you away from her W.

I guess their logic is that current akali is pretty useless until she gets gunblade and is already really easy to poke down in lane so now they really really want to delay that gunblade purchase for when everyone else is far enough ahead to keep her in the ground.

Come on man, take a tilt proof medication. Riot said they did the nerf for worlds.
