Split Pushing is the only viable strategy in any rank below Diamond?

Honestly it seems like games are completely decided based on who can split push better. There's absolutely no reason to play any champion who can't take to a lane and knock it down in seconds it feels like. Anything else is just giving the enemy freelo.

no it's just that in low elo a lot of players tend to group up mid and just 5v5 there the entire game untill somebody loses, disregarding any side lane objectives.

splitpushing is the strategy that wins vs people aram'ing mid and being indecisive/not winning the 5v4

Weirdly enough, I played Jinx and just went for split pushing pressure with a Yi and the rest of the team just barreled mid and we stomped. 1-3-1 completely destroys lower elo brackets. Either that or we just had a lucky game. Either way, playing a champion who can knock down towers in seconds seems to be a pretty viable strategy, especially at my elo.

I for one am glad that split pushing be a viable strategy. it does require some team co-ordination which is lacking in lower elo's however with D-Queue now a thing and 4-man premades on skype its probably easier to pull off nowadays. explains why your seeing it more often.

Malphite and amumu would probably disagree.

The problem comes with poke comps and comps without engage have trouble.
