Kat is all about timing not about mechanics.
Im pretty sure it's done like this.
I main Kat mid lane. And its not just a matter of pressing one button. You have to do full combo (Q,E,R,W) you also have to time it. If the enemy team is actually good they will just cc your combo and kill you. Learning the timing, and how to use resets can be a little difficult for new players. Obviously she is still rather simple to play though.
I forgot people knew she existed.
