what are the odds that a minion swerves to intercept skillshots every time?

beceause as I see it it's pretty dam high. even when minions are on normal walking paths and haven't met up yet I can fire off a blitz/thresh/naut/amumu hook and HEY PRESTO one of them suddenly moves into the path and takes it for the nopty that was just standing there.

maybe I'm just seeing things...

It might be a symptom of my lack of advanced knowledge of minion AI and pathing. However, it does seem disturbingly likely.

Let me inform you on how minion agro works. Every thing in the game that can be attacked by minions has a stress level. They will attack the first thing they come upon unless something with a higher stress level is in their range. For instance you as a champion dont have a higher stress level while farming then your minions around you which is why the minion stay agrod to yours, however hitting another champion increases your stress level which is why they switch to target you. In no way do minions have any agro properties with skill shots. If your skill shots are being blocked it is simply because the minion is positioning its self to hit the closest highest stress level and your skill shot just happens to be in the way.

Hum. Minions are 100% predictable, with a deterministic behavior. They should never "swerve", to intercept skillshots or anything. I don't understand what you're talking about. Can you elaborate?

well in the steps

  1. I throw a skillshot
  2. it's about to hit its target when
  3. a minion moves right into the path last second and takes it instead

happens wayy too often for my tinfoil addled mind to believe it's a coincidence.

Minions don't move except to go down the lane or attack a target that drawed aggro.
