am I weird if I like playing but hate the climb in ranked?

I mean the last 2 seasons I made the effort and played about a month and pushed myself out of bronze, but it wasn't fun, and I just wanted the silver border, maybe the gold if I pushed myself hard enough. half of it is I just don't have enough time to sit down for more than 1-2 games a day, and I don't intend on spending that in a toxic cesspit of 9 other people all trying to piss on each other and feed the scuttle. honestly I realised this when I made an account to teach my brother without pitting him against vastly more skilled players that it's just more enjoyable in noncompetetive leagues, people are less likely to judge you for messing up and FAR less likely to be shittalking trolls that want nothing more than to tilt someone so they can spam "umad?" and hope to win by attrition. I even got to be a mentor to some new players and guide them through learning about the game. side note wouldn't it be amazing if people who could prove they were honorable mentors be allowed down to lower mmr to teach so the early levels of learning the game wasn't so barren of baked in learning resources? because let's be honest nobody has ever learned anything from thornmail ashe have they?
