"It's just a game, I don't care if we lose"

In a ranked game ... In a ranked game ... IN A RANKED GAME ...

Just played a solo que where my wasn't doing too good, and their was getting pretty fed. Mid game he just decided to farm and hang back from team fights, and when I asked him to please start caring, he replies, "It's just a game, I don't care if we lose." This kind of mentality was the reason why he was 4 / 8, and how we struggled. Luckily, our team pulled through by getting some picks at baron and we won the game despite the odds, and even then ... Lucian didn't admit to anything. He just left the game after, without apologizing or admitting that he could of played more seriously.

Look, I don't care if you're Top, Jungler, ADC, Support, Mid, all that ... if you're having a bad game, and the game looks like it's not in your favor- don't be like that Lucian who just stops caring. If there's even a slim chance, TAKE IT. I don't play ranked to just pass the time ... I work my @$$ off as a Support trying to climb the ladder. I give it my all every game, even when we're going to lose because I believe there's always a chance for a comeback (unless it's 22 / 1 and they're at our Nexus 10 minutes in) but you get my point. We SHOULD of lost that game, but I didn't give up or decide to become so passive because the game got hard (oh what a surprise that a ranked game isn't easy). So yea, this really rustled my jimmies because people like that make the game harder than it needs to be.

Please, if you ever play a ranked ... don't do this to your team. Don't be that guy or girl whom throws in the towel when it's a rough start. Don't go doing your own thing because you decide the game isn't worth the effort.

Had we done the same, they would of won ... I would of lost 18-20 LP, and felt like shet. But guess what? None of us backed down, and we kept being serious about wanting to win and you know what happened? WE WON.

TOO LONG DIDN'T READ: It's extremely exhausting to play when you have people that don't want to try anymore after a certain point, despite you guys still have a good chance. Please don't play ranked if you're not going to take the game seriously, or you give up easily when things get hard.
