I haven't seen any info on this so I figured I'd try it out in a custom game. We found out that the base shield (the 10+10 per level portion) has a different max range than the % maximum health portion of the shield.

So engaging with a sej ult is stupid if you want to max the shield and instead should be used as a point blank skill. Well that sucks. I feel like there should be a 1.5s window to proc the per champion parts of the shield to account for this on champs like sej
Randomonium1 votesYes, so when you ult hit with Sejuani it would calculate your % health based shield based on how many enemies were within 700 units of you. We did test to see if there was a window like you talked about using Amumu's bandage toss and there doesn't appear to be a window. As soon as the CC lands it gives you the shield.
I don't know if its necessarily a bad thing. It gives more strategy and a real choice in team fights. Do I use my CC immediately and get a smaller shield or do I wait until I'm in an optimal position to use my CC and get a larger shield.

Kilanost1 votesThe problem is that sej's ult is an engage tool and her best one for team fights. She is already penalized because by the time her stun wears off or she gets close enough to be able to use the shield, half the duration of the shield is gone. To also get a fraction of the shield on top of it is just kicking her while she's down.
Randomonium1 votesTrue. That said though, her win rate isn't that bad right now with it. She's hovering around 50% right now and her play rate isn't horrible. However, if the nerfs to CoC on the PBE go through she might drop below 50% and need some love.
