@RIOT HELP! Player told me he was going to commit suicide

and I believe him. I really, really believe him. He seemed very depressed and intent on taking his own life. I tried talking him out of it but I was unable to and he told me "bye" and since then I he hasn't responded to my messages. Obviously I don't know this person in real life so I have no idea which police station to call or what his real name is. Riot does have that information. This needs to be taken seriously and the local authorities need to be contacted. I submitted a support ticket (#21407443) where I included the full chat logs. Time is of the essence. Any Rioter on these boards please help.

There's no need to bump this discussion. The OP has already done what they should by submitting a ticket to Player Support. Player Support has procedures to follow for that type of ticket and will handle it appropriately in regards to the threat.

Best you distance yourself from this ASAP. You already did more than 99.9% of people by talking to him and the more you follow this the more guilty you will feel should something happen, it may haunt you for a very long time and I doubt he wants to hurt anyone with his actions.

I had a friend that got permanently suspended he then made a suicidal letter on this forum. The police arrived the next day to his house. It was too late.I hope this isn't the case here.

These boards can't really help with that. We can discuss behavior or why a behavior happened, but no one here has the power to help beyond that extent. Rioters don't frequent these boards, so submitting a ticket is already the best you can do.

Just be sure not to update the ticket until you get a response, as that will bump it to the back of the queue.

Suicide is a serious topic, so idk why people are making jokes here or bashing on people who are suicidal. i really hope that he's okay and that something is done here.

You are an amazing friend for doing this for them <3 I truely respect that, and seeing all these posts about similar cases, while sad, is showing me that people would be going to the extent to get external help for people who are in the need of it.

My best friend has been planning to commit suicide the last couple weeks since I broke up with him. I already called the police and the suicide hotline twice and apparently they can't do anything in arizona. They can't even force entry into his apartment if he does not open the door. He is bipolar and has been refusing to get his meds and has tried to commit suicide before when his first girlfriend died (almost sucessfully if a friend hadn't found him). I live all the way in MA so I can't do anything.

The police and the suicide crisis people are literally just going to go and let him die. I never felt so bad in my life. Me breaking up with him may have just cost him his life.
