Just had a Cait bitch about having no CC from champ select to the bitter end. I'm sorry but I'm already playing auto fill supp im not also gonna play a champ of YOUR choosing because the enemy team has a Vi. Maybe he should have picked Ezreal or stayed the hell out of the fight for the first 5 seconds, I can guarantee the bronze VI couldn't help herself from ulting someone else. Was I wrong? Should I have picked a champ I never play? Our comp was,

Garen (2/6/5 Overall useless) Rengar (10/5/6 Did OK overall) Viktor (6/11/5 Cried most of the game) Caitlyn (6/7/7 Did OK in lane but against 4 tanky builds she didn't buy any pen, just a giant slayer at the end) Sona (me--0/4/16)

VS

Yorick (owned top lane, 4/4/10 built full tank) Vi (7/1/17 fed off mid built full tank after trinity and warrior) Kennen (owned mid with Vi, 12/4/6 AP build with a little armor) Draven (6/10/8 got rolled in lane) Noobcrank (4/5/14 roamed a lot and built full tank)

Could we have won? What champ could I have chosen that would have made a difference, especially if I don't play said champ? Were we just too AD heavy with a feeding Viktor unable to pick up the slack?

Cait was right, Sona was a bad choice here. You had all the damage you needed. Alistar, Morg or Janna would be much better.

Maybe if Cait was my duo partner, but I've NEVER played Janna or Alistar and Morg is about on par with Sona with CC, no way I'm getting her ult off so it's down to her Q and I'd take Sona ult and speed over that.

Not to mention I'm already the damn auto fill, but hey let's have the worthless jungler (against such a tanky team especially) and the Garen keep their picks so I can get yelled at for not knowing my champ.

its not on par in the slightest, at rank 3 it has your ult, your only hard cc is on 100 sec cd (without cd, and why build cdr when your ult gives near cap cdr for basic abilities) and its has to be used at close range.

morg snare is 11 seconds cd and janna 14-10, they can fire off 10 of their hard cc before you can even fire off 2, and from 1k range as well, this doesn't include the fact that both their ults adds additional amounts of hard cc. besides even if you haven't played janna or morgana before, they are hardly mechanically intensive champions, they are very simple.

play what you want but take your team suggestion instead of having this "don't tell me what to do" attitude.

Morg is about on par with Sona with CC

morg has an aoe stun and a long snare, sona has an aoe stun only, and also a stun covering less space than morg's

Morg has more CC than Sona, and also has a black shield, which makes escaping from Kennen and Vi alive much easier.

  • Morgana has a 2-3 second snare on Q.
  • Morgana has a delayed AoE stun (with a slow while tethered) on her ultimate
  • Black Shield would help negate CC (Kennen, Vi, Blitzcrank, Draven)
  • Morgana counters Blitzcrank rather hard

You shouldn't have to pick a champ based on someone else's choosing, but the real problem here is that not one of the three possible tank roles actually picked a tank with viable CC or peel.

Just don't bitch about it. It only promotes losing. I main shyvana ffs. If we have no hard cc do I complain??? NO I DON'T!!! When it is true that shyvana requires 1 person with cc, I still tend to get relatively fed and snowball out of controll. Shyvana is also kind of broken IMO atm. Your main issue was garen. also sona has a wide skillshot stun. It forces the dance animation for 2 seconds. That was a complete non argument that Caitlyn had. Same can be said about Viktor being a whiny bitch the whole time.
