We live in a universe where Lee Sin and Zed are immune to any decent nerfs
AND IT FUCKING SUCKS
AND IT FUCKING SUCKS
We live in a universe where bad players make up 99% of the playerbase. Then those bad players flock to Boards and create shitposts demanding Lee and Zed nerfs.
:^( sorry its the truth.
okay
so
i know your statement isnt true at all, but lets analyze that for a second
If 99% of the playerbase is complaining, then why wouldn't you listen to the "Bads" complaining seems to work with any champion who isnt name Lee or Zed
Except nobody think they're overpowered except the people who are keeping the circle jerk alive.
okay
so
i know your statement isnt true at all, but lets analyze that for a second Lee Sin and Zed both been nerfed quite a bit. And I worded that poorly. If 99% of those bads actually all came to Boards, this site would crash from so many people.
There's just some people who hate a champion enough(tends to be Lee, Zed, or Kalista) that they have to come to boards to cry about them. The result tends to be stress relief because they need a place to vent about a moving image on a computer screen and what better place to cry than Riot's official boards themselves?
It's a very strict process of monkey see, monkey do. One bad player rushes over the boards to release their hatred on a league of legends champion in an angry, nonsensical sentence. Another bad player sees this and thinks "wow, i also think Lee sin is op, i think i should board this circlejerk as well!" and it spreads like wildfire.
I would rather have seen zed nerfed then akali it is that bad.
I'm going to be honest here.
Do Lee Sin and Zed lack counterplay? No, there's some (seriously, take exhaust instead of ignite against Zed!). Are they OP? Possibly, maybe, maybe even probably yes. Are they crowding out their respective roles and stopping diversity? Yes.
Lee Sin, for example, has a high pick rate, whereas most junglers suffer. I mean, look at Vi's soon-to-be nerfs. Just a little lovetap, but something she needed to give an edge to other, weaker junglers. I mean, look at Lee Sin's base damage on his ult: 200/400/600 (+200% bonus Attack Damage), while Vi's ult is 200/325/450 (+140% bonus Attack Damage). While the utility of those ultimates are different (a good Vi/Lee Sin will maximize this damage in a teamfight), there is a clear difference in power. Vi has a passive shield, three casts at level 3 (2, if she's top lane and didn't take her W first/second), a wall hop/knockup that's almost always used as an initiator, and a melee proc that deals %hp damage armor shred. Lee Sin has four spells at level 2, a ranged spell to check bushes, an execute/dash, a ward hop doubled with built in sustain, a spell to reveal enemy units that can be cast again to lower movement speed, and an ultimate with insane AD scaling that has NO ENERGY COST.
Like, Vi is powerful and needs a little lovetap just like J4, but Lee Sin is still untouched.
Look, Vi is one of my favorite junglers of all time, and I'm all for her being nerfed just to get more junglers on the scene. That's how bad jungle diversity is right now. Rito is nerfing two of the holy trinity, but leaving the top dog completely untouched.
Seriously, either give his ultimate an energy cost (resource management, my ass), or reduce/remove his built-in sustain so he has trouble clearing. A jungler should not excel at everything; at least Vi and J4 had weaknesses.
