Late Game Hyper Carries Are Annoying

I don't know if it's just me, but I hate playing against Kassadin. Like I remember super old Kassadin, who was just kind of op as soon as he hit level 6, but current Kassadin annoys me more. You're probably like, but why? How could you find his current non meta state more annoying than his old hit level 6 and snowball state? Well it goes like this:

At least old Kassadin had to make a play at level 6 to be good. I mean it wasn't very hard for them to make a play, but still, at least they had to make one you know. At least they had to put in some effort to get a reward. Alright, but how does this relate to current state Kassadin? Well, in every game that I've been playing VS Kass it goes like this. Kassadin does nothing early game. He farms, and usually, he doesn't even farm well, because he's a meele who's easy to poke pre 6. Mid game? Well Kass is still doing nothing. He's a little bit safer and harder to kill now and if his team is doing well, he might be able to snag a few kills, but overall, he's doing nothing. Late game Kassadin, who has done nothing all game, now is in a god like state and is extremely hard to kill. He went from not being able to do half your adcs hp to one shotting them. You'd expect his R to take up a ton of mana, but he's on his 5 dash within 10 seconds and he's still at 50% or more mana. He has done nothing all game, and is getting rewarded for it. Meanwhile your mid laner, or jungler, or adc, or even support, who has been putting in effort, effort to snowball, effort to get kills, is getting out scaled by someone who has done nothing. At least Veigar and Nasus have to stack you know, and they aren't even near Kassadin's level of late game.

I don't think late game hyper carries are good for League in general. They do nothing all game, but then they get rewarded for it. It's extremely frustrating. Not to mention, you don't really have to be good at x hyper carry. Once you're at late game, you've out scaled everyone. It's about how skilled your opponents are now, it's about how they're going to deal with everything you doing out valuing everything you do now.

So let's recap. You do nothing 75% of the game, but late game you're more rewarded than someone who has been making plays non stop early/mid game. It's not even about how skilled you are, because you out value everything the enemy team can do.

That's just so annoying to play against. When I play against a late game hyper carry I'm just stressed the entire game, because I know if I can't end it early, or if both teams are tied, they're just going to take the game later on. Vayne is a special case in this, but it still kinda applies, same with Tristana. Both champs aren't in the best spot right now, but you know if you don't end the game fast against those two adcs, you're in for a world of hurt late game. Although I do feel as if you at least need to be a decent adc to play Trist late game, because her advantage is her range and you need to know how to position. Vayne just kinda out damages everyone.

I understand the risk of playing a late game hyper carry. It's that your team is lowkey 4v5ing, so you're team isn't very happy about having you either. That's actually another factor of late game carries, if they're on your team, you know they're gonna be useless for 75% of the game, and that stresses you out. Like just no one enjoys them from my point of view and a lot of them have been reworked a few times (Cass, Ryze, Kass, Kayle...).I'd like to hear other opinions as to why or why not hyper carries are annoying.

If they supposedly do nothing for most of the game, what stops you from easily winning what is essentially a 4v5?

Disregarding that "surviving against a much stronger opponent" or "farming well and playing safely" are both things you actually have to do, both of which are a necessity to actually play hypercarries well.

Unless you are talking the super late game, in which case that is again your fault for not using your lead to close out the game once you have full items. There is a hard cap to how strong you can get in a game of LoL. Once you hit it, it's only a matter of time before your opponent reaches that threshold as well. Use it or lose it.

Well, there are a few cases, but I think this is something I should say first. I don't have a hard time playing against late game carries in the sense that I can win against them easily and use their weakness to get ahead. I have a hard time playing against them in the sense that they stress me out and annoy me because I know no matter what they'll be op late game. Like I've demolished the current state of Cass, Kass and definitely Kayle a lot more than I've lost to them, but losing to them feels horrible. Especially if you did demolish them, but someone on their team is able to carry them to late game. If it's a normal game, and you've probably experienced this, if your team is ahead, they don't want to end asap. They like to drag it out a little bit so they can have fun with their huge lead. We've all been in those games where people ping to back away from the nexus because they want to continue to stomp. If it's ranked, I often find my team will camp the immobile late game carry and use that to get ahead, but in certain cases maybe our bot/ top will do bad, and the enemy team bot/top is able to keep the game going long enough for x hyper carry, who has done nothing skillful all game, to become a giant brick wall late game. So yeah, I agree that you need to close the game asap, and usually I'm able to, but when someone on their team is able to stall the game out, it just feels bad. Like someone else said, most late game hyper carries have low winrates, but when they actually do win it probably feels horrible to lose against.

Lategame champs have low winrates usually, so nerfing them will get the community crazy about it.

Even though they may be OP.

I think they shouldn't be in the game because they bring so many problems with them. But yeah I totally agree.
