We have bramble vest... but what do we build for champs like Vlad? The only option you have is taking ignite. Why isn't there a grevious wounds mr item? Sylas/Vlad/akali/ekko could all be played against easier with an eddition of a grevious wounds mr item. Btw this isn't a hate thread so please leave your riot sucks comments else where. I want to know why there isn't a mr grevious wounds items for tanks, there could be a good reason for it. That being said, Vlad and Akali are two of the most hated champs that often end up with a lot of healing. I'd think adding in an mr tank item would only help tanks, it wouldn't hurt them that much. If you manage to make the item super easy to build on anyone, so everyone vs vlad builds it, then that's one problem. Otherwise I think this item would be great. Every other champ that has healing has to deal with easy ways to get grevious wounds, why doesn't vlad vs tanks?

Both should weave in AAs, thus proccing Vest, otherwise they lose a lot of damage. Vlad only in early, but Akali all over the game.

I could be wrong but i feel its mainly because

with carries they have the ability to inflict grievous wounds to help secure a kill as theyre there to deal damage whilst trying to kill

With tanks theyre not about getting kills ... they want to be a focus absorb damage for the team ... they dont want to be going for kills so thats why i believe grevious wounds doesnt apply when they attack however with thornmail there rewarding themselves by being a focus when they force the enemy to auto them (mainly aimed at ADCs)

Although I think that there should be a bigger pool of items in the game (including more grievous wounds), I don't think that this is an actual problem (something tanks should do to counter vlad) because Vladimir should not focus any tank, vladimir is not a tank killer and would not kill any tanks. The ADC / Assassin / Mage should build grievous wounds through morello or executioners to kill a Vlad because vlad would naturally focus him. While Hypercarries and adcarries would kill a tank.

partially honest answer: if you're laning against one of those as a tank your options are basically "not have fun" and "disconnect", but you can do your best, and that's all that matters

Here's the fix:

Bramble vest is now 250 Hp + Grievous wounds only (no armor) so it's useful vs all damage. Thornmail is also changed to build from a chain vest, so it's stats would stay exactly the same with 250 hp and 80 armor.

Very easy change, no new items or major modifications needed.

Bramble Vest and Thornamil are still not bad items into them and unless the enemy team is all AP then the armor will not be wasted. Bramble is not a horrible component to sit on either as you complete core items. I often buy it early vs Vlad top and then work towards my core that way I can discourage his healing off me and make it easier to punish him for trying to harass constantly. Ekko I don't see much and Akali doesn't really start healing crazy amounts until she has completed gun blade.
