Remember when Riot explained why one of Azir's kits was scrapped?

The kit would disable ally spells and replace them with new ones. Riot scrapped this because it was taking away the identity of your champion.

Guess exactly what Kalista's ult does.

I thought this was the ascension game mode where all allies were changed when a champion got ascended?

And uh, who's kalista? I'm not new, but I have no idea about slang champion names in general. Sounds like alistar (his ult definitely doesn't), or katarina/cass (theirs don't either? ).

EDIT: new champion. I just looked, and I disagree. The ultimate repositions an ally, sort of like a forced thresh Lantern (with possibly infinite range?). Frankly I see it being used on a top laner who wants something other than teleport, or basically on anyone other than the support to allow instant map repositioning... This could be way OP but is actually quite cool.

As to the effect on the soulbound? Their spells are disabled while they're untargetable and they have a reposition+knock up. Once they use it I'd imagine they get their normal skillset back. While it could be bothersome if r is used at a bad time, they only need to reposition and then have their spells back. They also need to agree to be soulbound. I don't like how this lasts the whole game, trolls will probably play legit until they bind you then drag you across the map when you're about to score a penta (then be like omg I didn't know it teleports you I thought it just gave you the free knock up I was trying to help! ).

They key difference between Kalista's Ultimate and say, Tiny's Toss is that the whole soulbinding thing is completely voluntary. As for her ultimate changing your skills, it's only there so the entire thing requires an input from both players.

Kalista can't pick you up and throw you into the enemy team against your will.

Actually Kalista ult disables all the bound allies spells at will, whenever the ally uses the ultimate or not is up to them. I think it's gonna be an excellent trolling toll used by trolls. Need last sec cc or shield to survive? Not with a troll playing Kalista nearby.

I really hope the contract can be broken at will

edit: nvm i actually misread what the ability does, a Rioter can delete this thread now.

It's more or less Thresh's lantern that let's you use Malphite's Ultimate. I assume it'll take an input to jump to Kalista.
