Another riven game in the lcs
No champion-breaking ult buffs required.

I believe i remember hearing Huni plays Riven a bit so it might have been more a personal choice rather than strategical.
I'm not arguing whether she needs buffs or not im just stating this.
She got camped 20 minutes from reksai. Was 3-0. Gets 1 v 1 ed by gp. Ends the game 3-5. This champ is shit and its so hilarious to see that pick lose the game for immortals. They completly gave up botlane to get riven ahead and then gp just 1 v 1 ed her while she is to be considered a splitpushing 1 v 1 champion. But yeah, she got picked, makes her good hehe xdxd
Oh, but see, when they re-release Championship Riven, they gotta make everyone want to buy Riven for the free win, and entice you to buy a skin for her as well. So, if she's not absurdly broken (even though she already is), it's just not lucrative for an F2P cash grab like League.
So, in the best interest of the game (obviously), she needs a buff.
She isnt broken, she is in solid position in solo q.Rest of ur post was completely right. Its all about money.
They are buffing her because they want her to be played at Worlds(LC$ big plays lol). After that she will become pick or ban and they will nerf her in patch after Worlds. Its regular thing by Riot.
Lol C9 isn't even that good of a team and they made that Riven pick useless. Not to mention Huni is one of the few players that actually plays Riven occasionally. You are out your mind if you think a buff to Riven's ult is about to make Riven a regular pick in the LCS or change how useless she became this series.
I was talking about solo q.She will be pick or ban there. There is no reason to buff a champ that is 51% winrate and 11% playrate in plat+.They are buffing her because of LC$ and Championship Riven.
No one is going to pick her in the LCS, so there is on advertising to be had there. Huni only picked it becasue he is cocky and people consider it a champ he is known for. That buff wont do shit for her play in the LCS.
The only thing that I agree with is they are probably trying to get more people to play her for the CS skin, but it wont be of any help from pro play when she continues to have a non existent pick rate.
Alright boys you know the drill, huni picked Kennen in an LCS match and lost. It's obviously a sign that Kennen is on the strong side right now.
