Why is Alistar getting killed

Why is alistar getting killed with a Q rework. Did I miss something? This combo isn't broken and the champion isn't broken. Perfectly healthy game design. This rework idea is just going to make it so alistar doesn't become a meta support for the next season. Unless that's what you guys are going for...in which case that's just "dumb" for lack of a better word.

bro have you read the rest of his mini rework. he now has a stun on his e and his qw is still op cc. im a alistar main and im stoked about this rework. there is nothing bad about it. if you pop your e then go in with the combo by the time they are done with the wq cc you can stun them again. this post is sorry but bad. you must not have read the whole thing on him

Its a no-animation self-buff. You should cast it mid-W for optimal up-time.

Just an FYI. Popping it too early can lead to wasting it in some cases.

not really, watching videos of it. it takes around 5 seconds for the chain to be complete to stun someone. and alistars wq stun is around 4 seconds. so popping it as you combo will allow for the greatest chain of cc for alistar

As long as you activate it before you have the enemy champion in the radius, you don't change that CC chain. It just makes it so you still have it available for a few more seconds in case you get CC'd or some other nonsense.

Remember, you don't gain stacks for his E unless its hitting enemy champions with it. Why activate it before you're hitting enemy champions with it? That's wasted up-time that you can use to shrink the margin of error.

his e does aoe damage, and it actually goes on for a great about of time. so there is no real margin of error and if you know alistar well like i do. meaning you are use to his w range you will be able to activate it before your w goes so there will only be a millisecond were e is not hitting the enemy if you time it correctly. also his e makes it so your burst damage from wq is stronger with his e being active during that time. if you active e after the combo then there is a shot where they will get away and or kill you because you still have to wait for e to stack up. so activating it during or right before the combo make his cc way better

because hes too strong in the right hands. and pro play for the most part. due to the lack of counterplay to his combo. i mean a knock up that has chained cc to it is too much for a basic ability lets be real here

He has counterplay. And plenty of champions have things like this. It's not even like he doesn't have that much counterplay. He's not even an S tier support right now.

MunchCrunchLunch1 votes

maybe not on solo queue but hes very strong in pro play. i mean the champion had like 90% winrate in worlds so far

He uses 2 abilities for that combo, is not any different from your typical dash into CC combo.

MunchCrunchLunch1 votes

his knock up has a stun attached to it on a basic ability. its one of the longest knock ups. but also has an afterwards stun. thats 1 ability with ridiculous cc

Is a 0.5 sec stun and is a remain of the old code, pretty much every old displacement ability has a 0.5 sec stun after the displacement since it was the only way to code it. Xin, Vayne, Riven, Singed all will mini stun you after their displacement CC, tristana used to until she got reworked.

no he isn't kek

unavoidable malphite ult that automatically chains into his Q even if you stun him during his W is not "healthy" at all
