Honestly what's the point of Fleets Footwork?

I already made this thread like 1.5 years ago and this rune still seems like complete bait to me.

PTA- 40-180 dmg + 8-12% dmg increase for you and your team mates, this is basically Vlads ult on a single target, it's crazy how much can this rune alone help in taking out a key enemy target or win you trades early

Lethal Tempo- literally 110% AS steroid that can push the attack speed limit making it an incredible scaling rune, no need to really explain the benefits for ADCs

Conqueror- Although nerfed still gives damage, true damage and healing great for melees obviously

And then you have FF- literally less healing than any of the secondary healing runes, even Taste of Blood heals for more or at least the same during the game (revitalize on ashe healed more than FF and i had a teemo support) and the move speed is nice but really not all that useful and you'd probably be better off getting magical footwear instead for the consistent MS increase, also note that overshield blocked like 6x the damage that FF healed.

Now the worst part of this rune isn't even the mediocre stats that it gives, its the mediocre feel of the rune compared to others and especially compared to its predecessor ,Warlords Bloodlust.

First of all the name is badass in of itself and the mechanic of the rune was (some might say OP) much better. I literally have memories of duels where i'd heal just enough every attack to not die and win, those clutch moments felt so good and knowing that you can potentially play around that mechanic to win you fights feels so much better than maybe sometimes using FF to auto the minion to escape that ganking Lee, it just feels kinda lame honestly. Compare that to Lethal Tempo and again i can name you at least a few good memories of me proccing it in the perfect moment and going on a rampage with 3.0 AS Vayne or it synergizing with Jinx's passive and me getting 4+ AS and gunning people down.

Now the rune itself doesn't need to be broken tier again, but if you're trading damage for safety then at least the rune should have some meaningful impact. I mean there's tons of different things Riot could come up with and it doesn't need to involve being a drain tank, it could give 50-250 hp decaying shield for example instead of healing or maybe even have it stack like conqueror but instead of true damage it gives Armor + Mr so the longer you survive in a fight the better and you could play around it or something else entirely, it just feels like a wasted opportunity for a defensive rune.

It actually heals for more than you think -- the cooldown is shorter, the value scales heavily on AD, and a burst of movement speed is not to be ignored.

It's heing is good but becomes even aicker wjen combined with crit, item 3087 item 3094 and ESPECIALLY item 3095 that increases energized effects by 30%, including Fleetwork's healing.

Fleet Footwork is amazing on Illaoi.

Fleet Footwork is essentially extra lifesteal in lane. The healing isn't intended to be this big burst of health that keeps you alive in a trade, it just gives you more sustain, so you can get a fatter shield with Overheal or perhaps opt for Alacrity over Bloodline since your healing is covered.

The main reason to take it is the movement speed. That burst of movement speed lets you go in for trades or escape from people. Kiting is everything to an ADC, and getting a free burst of movement speed every 10 seconds or so is insanely strong if you use it to your advantage. You can hit a minion, rush forward with the speed, and take a trade the enemy can't back down from, chase people down to finish off the kill, or create some space as you're stutterstepping and running away.

Stutterstepping is essential to getting full value out of this rune. It charges it faster, so you get more healing and more opportunities to use the movement speed to get in range. It's great on ADCs that love short trades like Jhin, or for ADCs that have trouble setting up their own engages like Kai'Sa.

If you wanted the precision tree on nasus on aram but the other keystones options suck, maybe also garen aram. The reduction for ranged may be why the value is low, also the fact that it's an energised passive so probably balanced around rapifire quicker stacking and stormrazors amping effect.

movespeed is also a huge part, helps with kiting, the healing is icing on the cake. That's why it's called fleet footwork, not healing touch.

FF is a really good rune as means to staying close and personal without taking too much risk, especially if you're melee

If you're ranged, it's the bread and butter of kiting and attack moving.

And as others have suggested, actually building Stormrazor has great synergy with FF. the 30% Energized effect boosts pretty much sets back the deficiency effect for being ranged. So heal away!

Well if you're someone like Akali in a lane against a ranged champion, it does wonders. The heal isn't actually that small (especially for melees).

How often were you using it on champions instead of minions?

But yeah, it's a pretty bad mastery.

Because it got gutted multiple times during S8.
