@Riot Out of curiosity could an assassin support ever exist?

I would like to see a champion built around the complete polar opposites, but I don't know if it would be possible. Do you think it could exist at one point?

As you've already pointed out, those two are a complete polar opposites. Assassins are high-risk high-reward champions that need to snowball and get a lot of gold in order to unlock their full potential. That doesn't fit anyhow to a support role. So while I'm not a voice from RIot, I'm pretty sure this won't happen.

Not saying it's not an interesting idea, I just don't see any way how that could work.

Blitzcrank is probably the closest we'll get. He pretty much is an assassin support, with a bit of peel.

It would depend on how the Assassin was designed, if it was like Zed or Leblanc someone who is built to kill enemies quickly I don't think that would work. But if it was more like an assassin built around "abducting" enemies (I guess like blitzcrank) and brings the kills to other players that would be kinda cool
