What can Nasus do when the enemy is aggressively shoving you off farm, and allies won't help

Just got out of a really aggravating game against Yasuo where he kept shoving right at me, generally trading better than me since this was early game, and despite being shoved up at my tower the whole lane phase I had no help from allies to punish him for his insolence. I'm not saying this to piss on them, I'm saying this because "ask for a gank" was not an option.

I tried dropping E to pop his shield and keep him from saving it to engage, but otherwise it was basically hell trying to fight him when he jumped up on me since he was leaping around my minions all over the place and generally making Wither useless.

Buy 2 doran rings, max E, and stand back and pretend you're Morgana. Easy farm. You can harass almost anyone out of lane. Don't bother stacking until later.

Do this against any ranged champ (or Yas) bullying you out of lane.

That sounds great for getting gold farm, but won't a lack of Q stacks render Nasus meaningless? It'd take too long to make back all those missed Strikes, no?

Well it helps you survive the laning phase, get decent farm, and possibly shove the enemy out of lane. If you can just use that gold to buy armor/trinityforce/defensive options, you don't have to play as safe and can let your natural lifesteal keep you healthy.

I mean if you want to max Q, and be forced to walk up to melee range vs a Yasuo or Quinn, be my guest. Have fun either feeding, crying under turret, or flaming your jungler.

In the first 10-15 minutes, how many stacks do you realistically get as a level 5 nasus, vs later in the game with 40+% CDR and oneshotting minions? It's not worth the risk of maybe getting 100-150 stacks in the first 15 minutes to die repeatedly to a Yasuo, and basically singlehandedly losing the game for your team. If you max E it's not like you won't get -any- stacks. And you'll probably have the highest CS of anyone, and even without 300 stacks by 15 minutes, as long as nasus is farmed well, he's still pretty useful.

It's the same thing as sitting back and missing a few CS vs a laner who counters you rather than risking feeding a kill for 35 gold.

You make a good point. I'll try maxing E first next time. Thank you.
