You could actually fix the support role so it wasn't a torture to play. I know some people main it, but that's a very small percentage compared to other roles. Very few people enjoy getting bossed around by the adc, treated like the teams garden n*****, and then having no gold or ability to actually carry a game. It just isn't fun for the majority of players, and the problems with queue times relating to the role showcases that without dispute.

I know some people like to comment "no, i love support, some people main it, you can do a lot in that role!!!" and while some might feel this way, it is painfully apparent that most of the community doesn't!

Other mobas do not have such a strict support role, who's only purpose is to be the teams whipping boy. This opens up greater diversity in champ select, in the meta, and in tactics.

Do i have the answer in how to do this? I have some ideas, but thats not the purpose here, **the purpose here is to voice my opinion that the answers to queue times is not to force support onto people, but change support so that people actually want to do it. **
