She already has 3 dashes with her ult, which refresh on kills AND assists. Why does she need more mobility? To put this into perspective, Talon also has 350 base MS, the highest of any mid champ. And she also has spell vamp and stealth. Why does Akali need so much survivability? I don't care that she can kill people. But the amount of survival she has in her kit is just stupid.

Modmar2 votesHer survival was stronger, they nerfed it to the point of her stealth being just stealth and no longer granting much resistances. Stealth gets easily countered by a good team (Which is why talon ult is considered bad by some and only useful for burst). Her movespeed isn't meant for survival. She's an assassin who is designed by nature to be quick. Her spellvamp doesn't do a ton after they revamped how spellvamp works, but it does help.
Yes I know the tank akali build is crazy right now but it's not because of her movespeed, it's because she can be super healthy and constantly get ult resets off of assists. That combined with decent base damage is great for her.
Sona Ping2 votesBecause Akali is a member of a class champions who in order to do the majority of their damage, they have to keep running up right next to someone repeatedly and slapping them.
Luckily for them, members of this class like 
have ways to keep close to their enemy so they can keep slapping them.
However... Akali does not. Akali does not have these methods. She does not have a low cooldown stun, or a knock-up, or a spammable, huge move-speed steroids or their other benefits. And there are other champions like 
who is a slapper too, who has 350 base move speed and a stun and has some decent burst so he can choose not to slap and still get damage off.
She does have a gap-closer to help her though.... that is tied to her ultimate.
Oh, and did I forget to mention that these other guys ( ) also have gap closers but theirs are basic abilities?

You can't be talking about Akali, you must be thinking of someone else; Akali is that ninja champ who you see keep getting blown up because she can't dash away or teleport or become untargetable like the viable assassins can.

Yea, because they can totally target you while you're stealthed, right? And I'm totally going to have a pink ward (or the gold for it) 100% of the time right. And she actually can dash away. Like Lee Sin, she can easily dash to a minion or jungle monster. It just doesn't work on wards or allies.
