I played this matchup many times. But Malph just cant beat Trynd early unless Trynd is dumb. I'm able to beat him only in late mid game, when I'll have Frozen Hearn, Thornmail, and tons of armor. Insane amounts of armor.
Isn't tanks should be great counters for that kind of champions?

Malphite is a late game tank, but early on, everything that makes him good against tryn isn't available yet. Late game he does counter Tryn, exactly like he's supposed to, but early on he only does average, just like every other non lane bully.
Mecha MaIphite1 votesMalph destroys Tryn. I like to max W then E, and only ever use Q to chase (poking Tryndamere doesn't work because of his sustain). Free armour from W is good, but the active means that you will be doing a huge amount of damage early game. AS slow from E just guarantees he can't trade with you. Once you have a point in those two, you should be good to go.
