Why does rito hate it when a support champion gets played in a different role?

They tried to nerf lulu because she was being used as a mid/top laner, but then they gave up because nothing has changed.

They don't have a problem with that- Riot is not trying to push Lulu out of top or mid for example. It only becomes a problem when they become too dominant. Supports are suppose to be packed with extra utility at the expense of damage. If they have the damage and the utility, why would you pick other mages?

Another issues with most solo supports in the past were because they were non interactive. Lulu just E's a minion and then Q's you while staying out of your range. Janna would just sit back and Q your entire wave- never going for a kill (unless you were low and/or messed up), just constantly pushing all game.

That's because Lulu has an absurd amount of utility with ok base damages. You can stick her in bot, mid, or top because no matter what, she will always have that utility, and always be useful to the team. She's a low economy mage that way
