...in_ ranked_, HIGHLY CONSIDER ABOUT IT OR BETTER YET DON'T DO IT AT ALL!!!!! This is really getting ridiculous right now as I've been getting the most troll/idiotic players picking champions for roles they're completely not meant to be in. First time this happened was ADC Olaf...we somehow won that game out of pure luck, second was Jg Caitlyn (though to be fair the guy didn't realize he was autofilled as jg and thought he got ADC, but still) and just my last game now of kindred support, who might I add went 3/19. KINDRED SUPPORT, 3/19!!!

Just.... Idk if this is just how bronze people play in ranked or I just have some of the worst luck after winning a few ranked games but this just needs to stop. Nobody cares if you play Tank Soraka or whatever you build for fun in normals. This is ranked. Pretty much the area where all of us join in to try and show our skill at the game, improve, and overall climb the ladder, such as myself. Please just stop this!

I used to support ashe all the time during juggernaut patch. got me to plat easily. Stop correcting literally 3/5 games I lost was because of my team mates trolling or afking because of my pick after feeding in their own lane (example top trynda losing hard 0/12/0 says "support ashe sucks pick a real champ " then afk's at spawn when I'm 1/2/27.... games like that are annoying)

its one thing to play off meta. its another to troll just because you got auto filled

Nope. I'm going to continue to play what I have fun with and continue to win with it.

Whine all you like. I haven't ever played the meta in my entire five plus years of playing League. I'm legitimately more experienced and serious at 'fucking around' than I am at try-harding.

Everyone stopped taking ranked seriously when autofill was enabled and flex Queue was added. Plus current meta makes it hard to enjoy League at all. Been playing Worms and AoE2.

It seems more like you're not comfortable with it.

A better way to constructively criticize this strat would be to point out that it's inefficient if you're going in blind (since the metagame is practiced constantly so you'd have to live under a rock not to understand it at this point), and point out that you should effectively communicate with your teammates.

It's not always "better" to not play the game you're comfortable with. You have no idea if that person is comfortable with the role or not, so why not just ask? There's people who practice meta-breaking specifically to counter meta sheep. Tank Soraka or support [insert useless champion] is one thing, but there's people who legit practice off-meta effective strategies given time and practice.

You know, your right. I'm not comfortable with this, but that's because I learned the game in a certain way: tank/fighter/occational mage top, tank/fighter/ occational assassin/mage jg, mage/assassin mid, marksmen bot with a support. I've always known the game to be like this. So when someone else comes with an off meta build or champion I get nervous/freak out, especially in ranked where I just want to feel certain to win so I can climb.

However if they can get it to work, great. I doubted them a bit much since they either got lucky or have practiced so I'll try to be more calm around it if I see it again. If it doesn't work, then I just get frustrated as to why they thought picking it was a good idea (and this is like when they go 0/6 or 1/9 15 min in).

Even if I do communicate with them, I could get any sort of response from them, as like almost any other player in this community, from "yeah this wasn't a good pick, my bad" to "STFU this can work u just can't get behind the new OP meta!" And even then there may just be players who just decide not to communicate ever or are purposely trolling but act like they've played this off pick before.

Hell, I'm actually all for off-pick meta stuff just to see what people can come up with or what's new, fun and interesting but when it comes to ranked I just want reasonable picks that won't cause me to go into a mini panic/rage attack.
