Fondling Gems2 votesI think it is because It doesn't have any synergy with crit, which is what makes Runaans good. If you aren't getting consistent crits on the bolts it is a pretty weak item. The benefit of black cleaver is less than the benefit of more crit. It also makes your 1v1 very weak compared to a traditional build. It only gets it's benefits when you are free to attack a lot of people and you are a heavy ad team, in which case you usually have someone else applying AOE black cleaver so you don't get much benefit from having 2 on the team.

But lets say that bruisers nowdays make cleaver so since they don't stack up, adcs dont have to buy cleaver and have the freedom to buy something that gives more Ad. Another thing is that most cleaver building adcs have a way of spreading the debuff instantly like MF and lucian so they dont need hurricane. Lastly, it is sort of a "meta" thing now for the adc to attack the enemy closest to him/her. (In season 4 it was generally nuke the squishiest.) And since tanks and fighters get more bonus armor, it makes LW item varients more cost efficient yet effective.

I used to build like this on any adc before Riot changed to crit.

DarkRitual1 votesBecause they don't Synergize very well for enough of the game. Congrats on shredding minion armor, they really needed it to begin with. Sure it'd be decent in teamfights if the enemy groups (if you have long range boosts like Jinx and Cait trap/net procs), but it's just not slot efficient enough of the time otherwise. You're better off getting Blade of the Ruined King for the lifesteal and %damage on the bolts.
