why was last whisper gutted years ago, but void staff wasnt?
no one buys last whisper anymore, NO ONE, NOT EVEN SITUATIONALLY. if i want armor pen ill just go black cleaver for the HP+CDR+sticking power and cause it makes my team do more damage

Rewt3 votesThis is because there is so much armor pen available. Lethality mixed with the %pen of cleaver and LW made it too strong.
Mpen is only on VStaff, Liandries, and Boots. (iirc) there is very little Mpen available in the game and thats why it wasnt nerfed.
Also i see people build LW constantly. Lord Doms is seen less but I see the same amount of Mortal reminders.

but most people get void staff 3rd regardless of situation, when do you ever see anyone get last whisper 3rd, or maybe even 4th?
