I got into a PBE game and the first thing two of my teammates said to me was
"I'm really sorry about this crappy Akali rework dude. Especially the W changes."
lol

Let's just wait until everything hits the live servers, Riot can buff accordingly.
The Boards are always overly dramatic, no ones real life depends on a buff or nerf
That's just not anywhere near realistic. Whenever a shitty rework goes through it takes months for a rebalancing.
Then that's just the way it is. Complaining on the boards probably won't help. No one here can tell Riot what to do.
I also think they are doing their job pretty well recently, according to the rise in player numbers
######mfw league literally lost 20% of its player base in season 6
Is there a source for those numbers? The Riot birthday release said over 100 million monthly players, which is more than the previous number reported (around 67 mil I think?) Source: http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/09/14/league-of-legends-surpasses-100-million-monthly-active-players (forbes also had an article on it)
its honestly probably still around the same 67 million, people are making smurfs all the time.
It is important to note that that 100 million is monthly players. I have a smurf, but it would not be counted in that number since I only use it when I am leveling up with someone else. In order for a smurf to be counted it would have to be active once a month.
i mean, they are trying to find a number, and to find numbers you use equations, so riot must have a way to cross out a chunk off smurfs
They may have a way, but I bet they use the smurfs as an inflator for their numbers.
I mean, most people do play on all of their smurfs at least once a month, at least the big streamers do.
In Shen's case, that means undeserved nerf after nerf.
As a Shen OTP of the original one i loved the old one and was finally starting to warm up to the new Shen then he just got his damage in the early game gutted, i can't even play him anymore he feels so bad the rework was a mistake and the buffs were a mistake.
Riot even said they didn't think it worked out in one of their posts.
[zombie-nunu-bummed]
But why bother learning from your mistakes and backtrack when you can just go father down the Riot hole?
If they wanted to make a cool spirit sword mechanic make the whole kit around it not cut his kit in half and make it feel disjointed, i would've rather had a full reworked Shen then the confusing mess he is now.
You can't always get what you want. . . I appreciate you are really just venting your frustration, but I would like to see you and others on the boards acknowledge that actual human beings spend hours writing and testing even the smallest changes. Your rework may actually be in the works down the road but these things take time

I'm a Shaco main... Sigh... maybe next season...
I'm not worrying about nerfs actually, Riot confirmed that don't intend this rework to be a nerf and if she's too week they have no problem in buffing up her numbers as much as it takes. Even one of their playtesters went on Redit to say she's too weak right now and that she'll be buffed. The problem is that they're changing how she plays off and making her generally really clunky. She's just not as fun to play anymore even disregarding her numbers. Her new shroud and passive in particularly are awful from a mechanics standpoint.
It'll be too late by then. The complaints people have against the rework are about the mechanics themselves so no amount of number buffs will fix that.
I'm not sure though currently Akali's playstyle is fairly toxic, there is almost no room for outplay and no amount of mobility will get you out after she is onto you.
The main problem i see with Akali is the fact that once she has a lead or snowball you legit just can't walk back into lane without being 1 shot or 2 shot if you bought some MR.
It's almost like Riot has been saying since Season 2 that Akali needs to have some of her damage be unreliable like some kind of skillshot.
Nope, let's just make her use her targeted auto-attacks, that'll fix things.
(Not supporting the rework) but they did have limits to what they could do without heavy model changes.
Though I'm not sure why they didn't just give her a skill shot.
Correct me if im wrong but is w not a straight up buff? giving it a small dash an cannot be countered by pink wards anymore seems good. Everything else beside the passive is just cdr and damage changes not really mechanics.
The shroud got it's duration cut in half until you max it, which hurts Akali's ability in lane to avoid ranged auto-attacks while you last-hit.
The shroud can only be placed where Akali is standing when she hits W, so she can no longer place it over walls for vision or check brush.
The shroud can no longer be placed at range so she can no longer cast it at a distance to use the slow.
The dash is only 250 units as max and tends to place her on the outer edge of her shroud, so she tends to accidentally walk out of it now.
She lost a lot of juking potential and can no longer fake enemies out by casting the shroud without being inside of it.

The duration nerfs got reverted. At least they fixed something.
Here are my thoughts on the shroud changes and why I don't like them: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/vxq9B2lj-i-very-much-dislike-the-changes-to-akalis-shroud-and-think-they-should-be-reverted-heres-why
They reverted the duration nerf so my fourth point is no longer valid, but everything else still stands.
A shit rework is a shit rework. No amount of numbers changes will fix that. Simple as.
Buffing won't fix akali though. buffing can't fix clunkiness.
Although if they would just give an AS bonus during her passive or at least the 2nd hit, and if above 75% HP the damage hit is first, she'd be in a good spot until her relaunch comes.
I still don't agree with W change hate though, this is compensation for finally being able to use the stealth instead of a pink ward revealing. But the passive is clunky to use.

Another terrible W change?
They never learn.
Bring back my taliyah's w ;-;
What's wrong with Yorick?
They changed his W to cast at max range if you cast it out of the max range, he used to walk in range to cast it. I have yet to hear anyone say they like the change. I despise it.
I actually don't hate it. I used to gimp myself because I'd end up telegraphing I was going to cast it and fail to catch them.
So I guess it lowered his skill ceiling a bit.
I often end up casting it too early, because I automatically assusme I'll walk into range. Yoricks W is one of those spells that should be casted carefully in the right position, like Gangplanks kegs. You don't want to place it incorrectly because you weren't in range yet.
So really it's more of a fault with muscle memory.
My point about placing it carefully still stands. It simply makes sense. ''I want this spell to be cast in this position'' not ''I want this spell to be cast kinda close to this position'' Let's say you're trying to block off some chokepoint, for example. Imagine if shit like Anivia wall just spawned ''kinda close to where you want it''
I wish they would just revert her ult back to 50% but what do you expect from the monkeys working there?
Riot: What? Akali's building tanky instead of glass cannon? Better nerf her AP ratios.
I figured it out. Riot WANTS assassins to be toxic so their forcing them back into a bruiser role at top. ITS A CONSPORACY!!!! FLIP THESE PH***ING TABLES.
Akali's still way too strong, have not played her before and upon playing her in PBE I just stomp all my games easily, even with stupid builds. Her ult shouldn't do high damage if it has 3+ charges and huge range, her passive was just really bad before, and the W changes were a straight buff, how can you complain?

this is the problem, people that DO NOT PLAY AKALI think they have a right to post blindly on the subject.
Before calling champs strong, OP or such: 1 - Play the champ 2 - Feed your ass off 3 - Proceed to shut your mouth and appreciate the efforts people put into being able to make the champ look strong.

:/ PLAYED!!!
