POLL: does not showing buffs negate the purpose of clones?

I am specifically referring to clones not showing Red/Blue/Baron/Aspect of the Dragon buffs. I am not referring to tagging them with a debuff (Ignite/Bleed/Marker/etc.) before they use the clone.

I always thought that clones not showing buffs you may have pretty much negates the entire purpose of them in the first place. You instantly know which is which by which one is displaying the buff. I think that Clones should also display positive buffs the player has.

Again, I am not referring to tagging someone with a debuff before they use the clone. I will agree that tagging them with an Ignite, Bleed, Marker, etc before they use a clone is fair and offers logical counterplay.

The clones are meant to dupe you.

Also, make the clone's buff untransferable, because they are fake buffs on a clone.

How the hell would you kill a Leblanc as Viktor?

Well... I suppose a surprise attack might work...

I imagine with a combination of spells, autos and summoner spells.

That's ridiculous. We all know the common build for Viktor is item 3153 item 3035 item 3046 item 3078 item 3031 and item 3198 to replace boots.

Apparently people hate tricky guys... As a side note , if the champions that use clones get this change , it will be possible to change other significant parts of their kit to compensate.

Despite the fact that her Sigil of Silence was transformed into Sigil of Malice , Leblanc's buffs to her passive "Mirror Image" have her more time to prepare for her magic trick , and made her clone/stealth much more reliable.

That change allowed Leblanc to be much more easier to balance without transforming her into the second Akali( a champion with clunky abilities ). Her damage was needed , her abilities reliability , but in exchange she can make her escapes more often.

Think about a champion that uses clones and you hate . He/she can be changed to be weaker at what annoys you the most , and receive this change to make a clone look like his master!

Conclusion: if this change happens , these annoying clowns and witches (and maybe monkeys?) can be nerfed accordingly in other sides of their kit ;)

I see where you're coming from, and I agree for Leblanc. But fuck Shaco. That champion doesn't deserve any minor buffs. I think those are the only 2 with clones?

Also, I always pick the wrong leblanc anyways, even if the real one has a buff. 50/50 chance right? no. 0/0 chance for me x)

He stands still. It's pretty easy to distinguish.

Still a clone. The real Wukong can stand still as well.

shaco is the one most in need of this change as his clone is his ultimate. I've seen a few players make amazing plays which were possible because they didn't have buffs.

what are you trying to prove with this thread? there is no argument here, buffs on champs and not on clones will always show which is real and which isnt, so what is your point

The point is that they want the clones to display a buff so that it is harder to guess which one is real. They are offering a poll to see whether or not people agree with them.

this would be great, I think it's pretty weird design to make shaco prefer to have no buffs in order to properly trick his enemies. The clone should clone shaco as he is the millisecond he presses r, including all buffs & debuffs.
