Can Lux's double tapped E either be removed or made consistent?

When you re-cast E while it's in the air, it's supposed to immediately detonate when it lands.

Except it doesn't consistently work like this, on a game-to-game basis; sometimes, it detonates half a second after it lands, and other times it detonates immediately. The only thing consistent about it is that it will always behave one way for the entirety of the game.

If you're in a game where it's not detonating immediately, it puts you at a huge disadvantage, because it becomes very hard to land a long range E on anyone. No matter where you throw it, the extra half second gives your target enough time to sidestep it. It's better to manually detonate it when it lands, but it's still not as fast as when it immediately detonates.

If there's some technical reason that this can't be made to work instantly 100% of the time, the mechanic should be removed or normalized to half a second.

you mean the Q that can go through some minions and champions to hit two people?

you mean the E that you have to preemptively already be moving out of the way of in order to avoid because most characters don't have the walk speed to avoid it?

A low CD nuclear aoe ultimate that can barely be side stepped because the cast time is almost instant and resets on kills / assists?

i didn't say lux was broken, i just said the bitch is obnoxious and so are her fans because of people like you always assuming the worst because nobody likes your fantasy woman you all thirst for.

Honestly, I'd be fine with it being completely removed. Its a huge, AoE skill shot that literally can't be dodged if you double tap it instantly because you can't actually see it to dodge it. As long as she throws it in the general direction of an individual, she's likely to probably hit them. :/

It is very easy to dodge her E. If you play a champion with dash against her then what is the problem at all? Even if not, her E is still very easy to dodge even without boots. All you need to do is to play outside of her range and thus if she want to use E to poke it will travel longest distance and it is quite slow. Then you just move towards you base and you won't get hit. Second option is to play closer to her and when she uses it move towards her/all in her. This is mind game but works almost always as every Lux expects you to go towards your base/away from her and so she aims it bit behind you therefore moving towards her allows to dodge it easily.

This can be seen easily if you compare her E to Brand W, Brand W is actually undodgeable without t1 boots at all.

You can dodge it... when its not instantly cast on you. Furthermore, its a lower CD than many champion's dashes are and you shouldn't be forced to use your only means of escape to avoid getting poked out in lane.

Lux being able to insta cast her E while its flying to you eliminates a lot of the counter play to a "skillshot". The instant cast should be removed.

It's also a million times easier to dodge now that the radius isn't half a lane anymore.

I can see where he's coming from though, it's impossible to tell where it's gonna stop at besides max range. Anything else is playing a 50/50 guessing game.

This is actually the reason the ability was nerfed repeatedly in the past and a big point of complaint back before stuff like Yasuo/Zoe/Zed didn't exist to fill 90% of mid lane complaint posts.

maybe if they changed the damage based on where the person is located when it pops.. middle most damage, rim less..

Here is a tip, it will always proc instantly if you activate it as soon as it reaches its destination. If you activate the E while its traveling it will refresh the command every like .25-.5 seconds or something and will detonate when it refreshes at the target location. I'm pretty sure that's how it works considering attack commands seem to work the same way, where if you right click someone then the pathing will refresh every so often.

So yeah, pro tip, just activate it as soon as it hits its destination and it will always instant proc

I wish I took advantage of the double tap but I'm too much in the habit of mashing e 32 times as it travels.
