DPS means Damage per Second. It is relevant for sustained damage champs. It is not relevant, and makes little sense to talk about, on burst champs. Veigar has low DPS, since he relies on cooldowns. Lux has low dps for the same reason. Ashe has high DPS and low burst. Cassiopeia has high DPS and low burst.

SteelMankind1 votesYeah, I was wondering about this. The voidling army is definitely a DPS sort of thing, but I would actually say that his E and Ult dot is burst because they're long CD and he can't consistently damage people with them the way Ryze can Q or Cass can E.
